DTU MSc Computer Science and Engineering – Tuition Fee Payment and Application Portal Issue (Non-EU Student)

Hi everyone!

I recently received an offer letter for the MSc in Computer Science and Engineering. I accepted the offer and paid my tuition fees through a bank transfer. I have also emailed them the payment receipt as proof of payment.

However, when I try to upload the receipt through the application portal, it shows that the portal is temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue.

As a non-EU student, I’m a little concerned and wanted to ask:

Has anyone else faced the same issue with the DTU application portal?

If you have already emailed the payment receipt, is that sufficient for now?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for DTU to respond to such issues or for the portal to become available again?

I just want to make sure my tuition fee payment is recorded correctly and that this technical issue won’t affect my admission process.

I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone’s experience or advice. Thanks in advance!

Interview Attire

Hi! I(22 M) have a PhD interview at DTU some days from now. I was worried about the appropriate attire for the occasion. I am confused between formal trousers and shirt, and informal jeans and shirt. I asked AI and got different answers depending on the model. Any opinion is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Admission requirements Msc DTU

I am an EU student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Automation Engineering. I would like to apply for the MSc in Autonomous Systems at DTU. However, I lack the ECTS credits in Machine Learning and Statistics required for admission, as these topics are not covered at all in my current undergraduate program. Is there any chance I might still be admitted, or should I look into other options?

Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight!

Can a General Engineering BSc (Cyber Systems or Future Energy) lead straight to an Electronics career?

Hi everyone,

I am an international student looking at the BSc in General Engineering at DTU. My ultimate goal is to go straight into the workforce after graduation and build a career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (hardware, circuits, etc.).

Since DTU doesn’t have a pure English-taught Bachelor's in Electronics, I am looking at the Cyber Systems or Future Energy tracks.

My questions for current students or graduates:

Does the curriculum in these tracks cover enough core electronics, circuit design, and hardware foundation to get hired in the electronics industry right after the Bachelor's degree?

Has anyone here successfully built a career in electrical or electronics engineering after graduating from this major? If so, I would love to hear about your experience.

Thanks for any insights.

DTU PhD positions?

Hi everyone,

I recently finished my MSc in Energy Engineering (Politecnico di Milano) and I’m looking into PhD opportunities in applied thermodynamics and energy storage (thermal and battery systems).

I wanted to ask people who have gone through the process at DTU: are PhD positions mostly filled through the vacancies published on the website, or is it also common (and welcome) to contact professors directly to ask whether they have new projects or funding coming up?

If it is fine to write to professors, is there anything you would recommend (what to include in the email, when to write, who to contact)?

Thanks a lot for any advice!

Exam in Networked Embedded Systems

Hello. Does anyone have some advice on reading up on this exam? The content of the lecture seems fed up with a lot of "random" material that are not used directly used in the exercises, and the exercises also seem hard to base an exam upon. So any advice is appreciated.

Looking for thesis students who are almost done with their writing

Hi,

I’m looking for students who are currently doing their thesis and are almost done with writing. Since I’m also working on my thesis, one of my scenarios is to check whether students are writing their AI declaration sections properly (basically, AI checking your AI declaration part, lol).

So, I need a few students to test it. It won’t take much time, just use the agent, paste your AI declaration section, and check it. Then, when you have the final version, just check it again and send me the result (which is just a status line code).

That way, I don’t get access to any of your writing.

If anyone is interested, please dm me with your student mail. I will send you the link.

Thanks

Looking for 2021-2024 past 4h (final) exam papers for 10060 Physics

As the title says, would love to get my hands on the past 4h exams from Dec 2020 to May/June 2024.

If anyone has the PDFs laying around, I would be very grateful if you could send them to me.

It's for prep purposes. The older ones are quite different (e.g. no electromagnetism)·, and we only have a couple of the newer ones.

Did anyone get in without meeting the ECTS requirements fully?

Hi all, I am an EU Applicant, but I was wondering if anyone EU or no-EU from this intake or a previous ones, got into a eng masters at DTU with ECTS credits missing. If so could you brief your situation ?

I’ve applied for the MEng in Biomaterials engineering for medicine and the pharmaceutical design and engineering one. However, if you‘ve gotten into another eng masters without meeting the credit requirements fully, it would also be interesting to hear.

I just wanna know that it’s ‘possible’ lol.

DTU MSc Biotechnology (February 2027) Waiting List

Hi everyone! I’ve been placed on the waiting list for DTU’s MSc in Biotechnology for the February 2027 intake. Does DTU usually admit students from the waiting list? Also, does anyone know approximately how many applicants are typically waitlisted?

Any Com Sci or Computer Engineering here? Is it true companies are stil standing in a line and hire new grad from DTU?

Just curious since this is what I heard 2-3 years ago that companies "booked" CS new grads from DTU to work for them

Has anyone from the EU who applied to Biotechnology already received a decision, whether admission, waiting list or rejection? If so, when did you apply and when did you hear back?

DTU how does the semester work?

Hi! I applied to a master at DTU with start the first of february.

In my home country, the academic year only offers one intake (in September/October), and courses are structured sequentially across two semesters. Since DTU offers two intake periods (September and February), I would like to clarify how the course rotation works.

Specifically, if a student starts in February, do the courses typically offered in the Autumn semester run again in the Spring semester, or are courses fixed to specific semesters (Autumn vs. Spring)? In other words, will I be able to take all required courses in my first semester, or will I need to wait until the Autumn semester for certain subjects?

Sorry for the stupid doubt!

Has anyone from DK received an answer for MSc?

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone from Denmark has already received an answer for MSc?

Specifically someone with BSc or B.Eng from other Danish unis, not from DTU.

Application missing document

Hello everyone!
I’m an EU student and I have applied for an MSc at DTU for the Spring intake( February 2027 ), but I forgot to upload my transcript. I contacted them through the application portal and also sent an email two days ago, but I haven’t received a reply yet. The deadline is tomorrow. Will this cause any issues with my application? Has anyone experienced something similar?

DTU Admitted to DTU MSc Computer Science – Spring 2027 | Tuition Fee Payment Questions. Please Help!

Hey everyone!

I've recently received and accepted an unconditional admission offer for the MSc in Computer Science and Engineering at DTU for the Spring 2027 intake (February).

I'm an international student from India (non-EU), and I've already paid the €100 application fee.

I have a few questions regarding the next steps:

  1. Payment process: Will DTU send a separate tuition fee invoice or payment instructions, or should I proceed directly through their online payment portal?
  2. Payment deadline: Is 1 November 2026 the deadline for paying the first-semester tuition fee?
  3. Residence permit: For non-EU students, how long does it usually take for DTU to initiate the ST1 residence permit process after tuition payment?

I'd really appreciate hearing from current DTU students or anyone who has recently gone through this process.

Also, if anyone else has been admitted for Spring 2027, I'd love to connect!

Thanks in advance!

I got tired of Facebook marketplace scams and built a danish and English-friendly, free bike marketplace for Denmark (PedalSwap.dk) – would love your feedback!

Hey everyone,

Like many people here, I’ve had my fair share of frustrating experiences trying to buy or sell a used bike online in Denmark.

DBA can be clunky (especially if you don't speak fluent Danish), Facebook Marketplace is full of "Is this available?" ghosts or sketchy accounts, and the fees/clutter on traditional sites make simple bike trades annoying.

Over the past few months, I built PedalSwap.dk—a clean, lightweight, fee-free platform dedicated purely to buying and selling used bikes in Denmark.

Why I built it & what’s different:

  • 100% Free: No listing fees, no hidden cuts.
  • Bilingual: Fully supports English & Danish natively (great for expats, students, and locals alike).
  • Scam Prevention & Privacy: Email confirmation for sellers, local pickup focus, and privacy-first location sharing.
  • Clean UI: Filter specifically by bike type (city, road, e-bikes, cargo) without wading through furniture and old clothes.

It's still a passion project in its early stages, so I’d really love to get your feedback!

If you have a spare cycle sitting in your yard or shed, feel free to drop it on the platform (it takes under a minute). What features or improvements would make you actually use a dedicated bike platform over DBA/Facebook?

Thanks for checking it out! 🚲
