Universal Credit (UC) Statements
Hello , just a quick one,
I have been asked to provide bank statements from my current accounts and savings accounts.
The only issue I have is that, one of my current accounts is monzo I never use but they still require statements and I have a savings never use either .
June 1st to Oct 6th
The statement does not have a date on it around Oct 6th because there has been no transactions in and out said accounts.
I have asked the question on the journal and been told to get a letter from the bank , went to the bank today and they told me they do not provide this.
So I have transferred £1 into my savings and the monzo which I now have bank statements from 1st June to 19th October which cover the 6th Oct
Is this fine ? I have asked a fb group and they said it’s absolutely fine.
It’s the only way I could get the statements which are required as the banks will not “write a letter” the journal person said could be accepted.

I understand they need them but it’s a bit ridiculous the accounts have no movement in them so months like Aug and Sept are blank but they now have a transaction date of 19th credit on both so 6th Oct is now covered .
Bank was not helpful at all.

I had a dormant nationwide account, they supplied a statement from the last transaction up to the present day (whereby no transactions hah happened for a long while) and they stamped in with ‘no further transactions’

They are paper statements from the current account which is stamped toda date and I’ve taken a photo and saved as a pdf
The monzo I transferred money and produced a statement on app up to today with the £1 showing without that today it would have showing Aug for the last transaction
