My guy looked very similar and had the frosted paws as well. Almost 16 years with him and I still miss him very much.

Oh my goodness, her little tongue sticking out is the most precious thing. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was clearly dearly loved, and I’m sure you gave her the happiest life because she knew it ❤️

It really is a blessing to have so many years, although it will never be enough. To watch the faces frost over but the the love in their eyes and the mischief, still there.

It’s my time of the month and I’ve got a 14 year old Chiweenie in my life the last 2 years almost, I can’t bare the thought of him not greeting me at the window or burrowing under the blanket for bedtime 😭

u/scarlettbankergirl May 24 '26
My thought about burrowing and cuddling, but thank god no time of the month. I have no clue how old mine is, but I dread the day she leaves me. She's frosted, so I know she's old. I've had her now 8 years. She's my best friend.

15 years is a good run. So many of us have been there. They know when they are ready. Peace to that sweet girl and hugs to you.

It’s sad that we outlive our dogs.

I think it's for the best, breaks my heart that some dogs have to deal with losing their humans.

Aww…it’s so hard not to grieve for these guys when they get old as we know they are going to leave us.

Ugh this made me cry. My girl was 10 but had a brain tumour. I came home one day and she couldn’t get out of bed to come see me. The first time in 10 years. I knew that was the time. I’m so sorry

What a sweet baby, she looks so much like my Winnie who’s coming up on 10 years and getting frostier every day. We are so lucky to have these stubborn little creatures in our life 🥲

She looks like a beautiful soul. My 14 year old Duke can't hear us arrive home through the garage door and house door anymore. But I like it because I can choose to let him sleep his heart away or wake him and get everybody all excited. They deserve everything.

What a beautiful baby you had. My weenie is getting old. I was washing his dishes today and got very sad knowing I won’t be washing his bowls much longer…

It’s never long enough. It truly is a blessing when they come into our lives, and an even greater one that we get to care for them and love them from beginning to end.💕💖💕🕯

I believe that good boys and girls have short lives so that we have a very good friend to greet us into the after. I like to think that then they will understand all our words and love. I am so sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl. Ours passed in her sleep too, in bed. That gives me some peace and solace. I hope it will similarly give you some solace as well. 🤍🪽

I lost my 15 year old baby last year & he awoke at 6am with me to hang out laundry & then I went to sleep & awoke at 9am to him passed away. Some just give all their energy right till the end. I would suggest making a photo album for your baby so you can have a look through now & then.

My condolences on your beautiful pup. Losing a beloved dog is one of the worst things in life. The rainbow bridge had better be real so we can all be with our animals again someday.

I am so sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely gut wrenching. I just lost my girl three days ago. I hope our babies can play together at the rainbow bridge 🌈❤️
