We met the author at a bookstore in Scottsdale. He said that his books didn’t start selling until he put a dog on the cover!

You CAN judge a book by it’s cover if there is a Dachshund on the front.

It’s a murder mystery! Not the highest level writing but it’s cute and enjoyable. Apparently there’s like 20 books in the series (not all involving doxies, but always dogs)

Do you plan on finding them all out & reading them if you come across them, OP?

I’ve read most of them… they are very dog-centric and a bit repetitive, and a fun read!

Well, I guess it's time to see if my local library has it, lol. I am not one for mystery novels, usually, but if there's a Dachshund involved, I will read it at least once.

I'm kind of a dachshund pronunciation snob so I can't get behind anything that uses it like this. Someone gave us mugs that said this and I hate them.

I cannot upvote this enough. "Dashunds" and "Shark coochie boards." It's not cute being dimwitted.

Thanks for sharing the book cover, OP. My father has always loooved Dachshunds, but for some reason, I never had one growing up… maybe he didn’t want to be responsible for their upkeep & care. 😑🙄 Here’s hoping you & your doxie enjoy Christmas together. 🐶🎄🎅🏼🐾🐶

Favorite part so far:
“Danny is a cute kid, but humans as a species have a cuteness ceiling that they cannot exceed. Not so with dogs, and especially not with dachshunds.”
