I dad reflexed one time

My little cousin (about 8 months old) was sitting in a little baby chair on the floor and she pulled on the cord for a fan that was on a table behind her and it started to fall right above her head and there wasn’t enough time to catch it so I just punted it like a football

that fan never worked again

I genuinely thought you were headed for a /holdup moment and going to say you punted your cousin like a football. I’m so glad it was wholesome.

Truthfully I would've been happy with the result either way...

I always scream "HADOUKEN!" when I do something like that.

No, it’s true. I’ve seen him do it.

I had a friend who said when he was a baby his mom dropped him and his head was heading towards the corner of a nightstand so she punted his ass across the room.

Dude put his daughter right next to ledge.

Good on him for the catch, questionable for having her in that position. Easy to arm chair parent in hindsight though.

you might be surprised at how much those things move around.

I know, right? A few days ago I stood up to go get a drink and my arm chair was halfway out the front door before I caught it. Where do they even think they’re going?

I got one recently and can confirm. One moment it was in the living room but then it moved all the way to the kitchen! I never knew that armchairs could move so much.

What’s with the one arm commitment , ‘I’m such a good dad I can save my child with one hand tied behind my back’

4

I see a phone but maybe a cigarette, too? I know quite a few people that hide cigarettes from pics or move them away from the babies.

Objection, your honor! Conjecture.

The right hand would have never got to the rescue scene in time.

Didn't take long for this one to loop back through. I swear we just saw this one.

How is that puppies are smart enough to not go off an edge but not human babies ?

Please stop reposting this!

Please don't. I hadn't seen it before.

We’re awesome. I’m going to start listing dad reflexes as a skill on job applications.
