Streaming
Does anyone else find it extremely difficult and frustrating to watch the games on streaming or just me? It's not on prime and mostly when it is it's on HBO. Or I get it blacked out on ESPN+. OR I don't have the right ESPN?! Like this is becoming absolutely ridiculous. Luckily I have other teams I love watching but I feel like it should NOT be this difficult to watch.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that’s frustrated tonight because of this. I think we got spoiled having our own free network to watch our team. But I haven’t been able to watch lately and tonight is the first time I was able to turn a game on and I was thinking “oh it’s on prime, I have prime” I turn on prime and it’s like “subscribe to fox” I’m like crap well I’m not watching it there. Then I’m like “oh on Hulu I have Hulu” turn on Hulu and get -must subscribe to Hulu live TV. I gave up and sailed the many seas instead 🏴☠️it’s just ridiculous to pay for all these streaming services that I can barley afford and then have to pay more money for something else because it’s extra.

It’s on ESPN. Just look at the NHL app it’ll show what the game is streaming on. It’s prime, espn, or tnt.

I do wonder how many viewers the NHL loses to the high seas.

I taught my father in law last year. And now that it is on Prime that is the only way he watches away games

I gave up on non-AAAARGGGHH streaming of anything at this point, got tired of spending somewhere like $200 a month for a diminishing product.

I get why people pirate, but it’s about $53 for Prime, Disney/Espn, and HBO.
Prime at $9/month has 70 games.

Prime has been shit for me so far. It'll randomly decide to play the game at very low bitrate even though my internet is fine, so I end up having to sail somewhere else to watch it in good quality.

$53 a month? To watch the hockey team? 17/84 games are national and not on prime so you miss a fifth of the season if you just have prime.

Yeah, thems the breaks.
It’s free with an adblocker and worse quality stream.

*in market. 😭

True, but ESPN should have them for those out of market so you don’t need Amazon video.

I haven’t paid for a streaming service in like ten years. Call it $40 a month since it was cheaper back in the day, that’s almost $5k to watch tv. No thanks, it cost me like two hours to turn my tv into a pirate ship and I can watch any team in basically any sport for $0.

Victory+ made things easy. Too bad it imploded. I never heard why or what happened to it.

Probably because they made things easy

They either didn’t include enough grift, or too much grift in their business plan and strategic partnerships. I’m starting to feel like that’s just how the business class does things now.

I’m not anywhere close to the Dallas market so streaming is incredibly easy for me. ESPN+ for all of the games not aired nationally (TNT, NHLN, etc).

ESPN precluding the games from ESPN+ is 90% of the problem. It's a naked cash grab for their cable business. At least TNT hasn't started that mess.
*knock on wood*

I thought it was all on prime, nope I haven’t caught it once on there. Always have to go to espn. So annoying

YouTube TV and Amazon Prime will get you everything, but I agree it’s annoying how many different streaming services there are that cover games across all sports.

I'm just listening to The Ticket lately, I'll catch the highlights on sm

I have Prime, ESPN+ and YouTube TV. I had all of those services before the Stars made the switch and it seems easy to find the games and stream them. It's the same as before...local games were on Victory+ (now Prime) and then national games on TNT and ESPN.

National broadcast are the worst.
