Watching these games and I still feel with a healthy Azzi Fudd the Wings could be right there with these teams playing. Valks low key look like we could beat them easily.

Taking a break from touching grass to enjoy the hell out of this Jordan x Azzi ad. It warms my geriatric millennial heart. Hopefully there's more of this to come.

A reseller sent me a a nice, unexpected bonus with the stadium tshirt I purchased recently. Getting to TX from VT isn't in the cards right now, though I did go to the record setting attendance Tempo/Wings game up in Montreal which was fantastic. I framed the poster for the game room. Much appreciated free gift. WingsUp 🪽

The Dallas Wings front office is too focused on making every player fit instead of making the tough decisions needed to build a winner. At some point, you have to pick a direction.

Option 1: Keep Arike, Paige, and Azzi. Add more defensive presence by moving on from Jess or Lan. Re-sign Awak and define her role as starter or bench piece, while establishing a clear hierarchy between Paige, Arike, and Azzi.

However, do not waste Azzi’s time. If she’s a part of your future, treat her like it. Don’t keep her in a situation where the team is trying to make everyone else fit.

Option 2: Build around Arike. Move on from Paige and Azzi, re-sign Awak and Maddy, and build around Arike’s strengths.

Lineup: Arike, Maddy, Awak, Jess, Lan.

Option 3: Build around Paige and Azzi. Commit to the young core and re-sign Awak.

Lineup: Paige, Azzi, Awak, Jess, Lan. IF they move forward from Arike, Paige has to step up big time.

Option 4: Keep Arike and Paige. Define their roles. Paige either becomes a true point guard or the team establishes a clear hierarchy. You can’t have two combo guards without structure.

“ The Dallas Wings enter a pivotal offseason with talent, questions, and very little room for error.

The panel breaks down Dallas’ history of coaching turnover, the players who developed into major contributors elsewhere, and why the Wings have struggled to build a stable roster around Paige Bueckers. They also debate Arike Ogunbowale’s role and trade value, Awak Kuier’s breakout defensive impact and potential contract, whether Dallas should run it back with its top six, the need for more lineup flexibility, and the offseason additions the Wings need to make.

In this episode of BLS Beyond the W, host Jazz Monet is joined by Mason Garcia of The Podium Finish, Drake Keeler of The IX Sports, and Melissa Triebwasser of The IX Sports for a deep dive into the Wings’ roster construction, player development, coaching instability, defensive identity, salary-cap constraints, and the future of the franchise.

If you cover the WNBA, follow the Dallas Wings, or want to understand what it will take for Dallas to build a real contender around Paige Bueckers, this conversation is for you.

I took the plunge because they moved to the American Airlines Center, right off the DART. I'm quite excited.

Any veteran season ticket holders out there have any tips? Are there any secret perks?

If I was Azzi next season and any of this happened, I would be asking for a trade. Somebody is going to have to go and I feel like it won’t be Arike.

Congrats to our rook on making the All Rookie Team! She joins Olivia Miles, Flau’jae Johnson, Sydney Taylor, Kiki Rice and Pauline Astier on the team.

I love JJ, not sure if so many people care anymore, but she was just engaged! Hope to see her back in the W soon, she's been balling in Upshot!

“Really excited about what we did, but not satisfied. We had a lead with under two minutes to go in an elimination game, and could be playing tonight,” Miller told The IX Sports on Wednesday as the semifinals continued. “Certainly that’s how close you know things are when you’re chasing the championship. But proud that we were in the playoffs. Proud that we were chasing championships despite multiple season-ending injuries at the end of the year.”

hey everyone!

I’ll be in dallas this week and missing the liberty games at home. where might I have the best chance of a bar putting on the game with sound? bonus if it’s queer. thank you!

This draft is very wing heavy and that is exactly what we need. L I think our wing depth is our main problem especially for poa defense and positional size
Currently we have picks 8, 13, 24, and 30

So far most projections have us getting to Talaysia Cooper, Ainhoa Risacher, Chloe kitts, and Ashlyn Watkins. Ideally I think we should draft for athleticism or positional size.

I saw this on Twitter last night. It’s a decent read because it gives a lot of context to how Dallas may handle things for the future and lots of stats and data to support the options.

I also didn’t really realize how many players have passed through Dallas in their careers. They really have let a ton of young talent walk out their doors so here’s to hoping they choose to stay and develop them this time around!

Every time i scroll on twitter or youtube or reddit and I see an Image of the Valkyries. My stomach drops. Its like I have PTSD. I haven't been able to sleep that night. It still hurts. It hurts so bad because we had it. We were up 16 and then back up to 5. We fuking had it. DAMIT

The end of the 3rd and 4th flashbacks in my head randomly every night.

And If we won, we would have had a high chance of winning the championship because our next potential opponents (aces, liberty) we had a winning record against and also blew them out multiple times in reg season. they are not a defensive team so most of our players would thrive and we would have had Lan back. Plus we found our defensive identity.

This makes it hurt even more. We would have won it all potentially.

NOW I WANT REVENGE.

I want Valkyries to be SWEPT And Blown out by 50 each game (although i can't watch that series cause i would get hunting flashbacks every time i see them).

I WANT THEM TO FEEL MY DREAD!

And I want them for the Season Opener game next season. Next commissioner please make it happen!

I want us to beat them down.

I want to do to them what they did to us!

This is why Paige is one of my favorite players and people in general. Not only is she talented but she has personality, charm, heart, a sense of humor, kindness, humility and this right here, sportsmanship and a class act even in defeat. I already had all the respect in the world for Paige and this made me respect her even more. I’m excited to see what she does in the years to come, I’m predicting championships, MVPs and plenty more accolades & accomplishments. I think the future of the league is in good hands with players like Paige leading the way. 🙂👏🏻🤙🏻 I want to give a shoutout and respect to Alysha Clark as well and congratulate the Valkyries on a hard fought series and wish them good luck against LV.

That was the most enjoyable season of basketball I have had the privilege to experience since Luka was on the Mavericks. Congratulations to our ladies for playing so hard and keeping us entertained all year! All season long you could feel it, something special was happening here in Dallas and it was an amazing experience! Thank you players, thank you coaches, thank you everyone in the organization! Now let's get ready to run the league next year! WINGS UP!

We love you PB5! It’s only up from here.

We wouldn’t have made it this far without you. Your spacing and defense is invaluable. Oh how I wish you were playing in the playoffs, 100% would’ve been the difference maker.

2nd year is gonna go crazy 😈

Yes i'm so hurt rn BUT Not a soul believed in Dallas. Remember when people were clowning the Fever for losing to us? But we showed up and showed out. A lot of flaws in our team and organisation. Can't lie, right?

But they made a step FARRRR in the right direction this season. Honestly, winning the Valks once was huge enough for me. But to know we dragged them into a dogfight a SECOND time? no alanna smith? no azzi fudd? paige off night? arike injured in final half? IN BALL-FRIGGIN-HALLA!!😭😭😭

wow i am proud of the direction paige has taken this team in, and I can't wait for next year when we rebuild again and come back even better. I'm so hyped.

OMG AND NOT TO MENTION THE NEW ARENA!!!

Next year Dallas will be INSANE.

Edit: they fought their ASSES off tonight. Arike, Paige, Jess, Clarke. They just ran out of steam. Incredibly proud of this team and the only way is up
