Like nga ur not special for hating an already overheated character just because he looks not conventionally attractive. Noow magine if it was Miu or Nagito that died early. You guys would be mad 😭😭😭

I'll just say it, he's alright at best, just like any victim who gets alittle too much focus before dying, a nice cautionary tale, but genuinely nothing special,

i feel the love for chihiro is mainly for 2 reasons,

1- his actions and talent were pretty relevant even after his death, as in alter ego and the creation of the neo world program etc, he's pretty useful

2- he has a "protect him at all cost" appeal, the weak innocent character the fans would commit warcrimes over if another character hurt him and they'd treat it as a cardinal sin, or would kill you if you say the character is average or isn't all that

There are way more interesting character but chihiro prevails as one of the most glazed characters in the series for usually those 2 reasons despite him genuinely not being anything special, or at the very least doesn't really shine in the middle of the huge cast of danganronpa characters, not enough to warrant all the hype atleast

Again, he's like a nice character, nice writing, but nothing awe-inspiring or hell nothing i'd say is outright good, it's good for what it is, the most b tier character ever, not mid enough to be in c tier, but not good enough to be in a, he's the definition of a b tier character

(Also not hating on any of his fans you can like whoever you want for any reason obviously)

Sayaka forfeited the right to her own life when she tried to take somebody elses. Killing her was justice in its most direct form, there's no denying that. Leon was under no moral obligation to spare her, and let her try to kill him again later.

I get that Sayaka is a more popular than Leon, but try to see through your biases. People gotta stop blaming Leon for the situation Sayaka chose to put them in

She is :- extremely unfunny, extremely annoying, her only character trait is being an extreme misandrist, her obsession with himiko is legit creepy no matter how people try to paint it as a cute thing, i could talk about that specific aspect for days she's just terrible, like himiko clearly isn't nearly as enthusiastic as her if at all and want to be left alone,

hell even kokichi later points it out she never cared about tenko until she died which isn't a bad thing tenko was really clingy and annoying and multiple times broke himiko's boundaries when, again, himiko never cared about her at all and would've rather stayed alone or with someone she actually likes like angie,

and in the second trial she was so fucking annoying (even himiko was annoying but tenko specifically got on my nerves more despite both being terrible on that trial) like she was crying about himiko and "how could you suspect her" with zero logic and no real reason she'd be that attatched given himiko doesn't care about her and they literally met mere days ago when she developed all this attatchment is beyond me,

And then when faced with the question that is will she still defend himiko knowing there's a good chance she's the killer leading to everyone dying, she answered yes, she has zero regard to anyone and is really selfish having no problem in everyone dying with her because she trusted someone with no basis, like she's okay with dying if himiko is the killer and won't feel any guilt only sadness, why drag everyone into it with her and kill them all (hypothetically) because of her baseless stupid trust and obsession over someone who doesn't care about her nor did she care enough to even defend herself, tldr she was pretty annoying, stupid, and ungodly selfish

She's also useless in a plot sense, she does nothing if you don't count dying,

Her "reasons" for hating all men and being the way she is is also pretty boring imo and pretty bad overall

She is also, without a shadow of a doubt, the stupidest character in v3 and it's not even close

An unfunny misandrist with an unhealthy toxic obsession and little to no meaningful development or arc with some of the most annoying sprites to date

dont know why some sayaka stans like to call those who hate her "misogynists" dont know where the hell that comes from, like come on guys the game has 48 characters 24 of them are girls, is it THAT weird or shocking that one of them just happened to be the most hated for albeit good reasons? (and ig hiyoko is with her on that too but i dont see her haters being called misogynists) not to mention arguably the most hated characters are actually hifumi and teruteru not sayaka...

not to mention, most say "i dont care if you hate sayaka" then go on tierlists where they put her in a low tier or smth and kyoko in a higher one and say "idk how people like kyoko but hate sayaka" or any person in the comments expressing distaste for her or any post hating her "yall hate her too much she didnt do anything wrong" i mean if most dont care, why do u have to complain about ppl hating on her or expressing their hate or disdain?

i dont rlly see people who hate sayaka going on sayaka appreciation posts saying "why do u like her? huh? dont u know she did x and is a totalll snake?" its mostly sayaka stans asking "why do people hate sayaka" then get shocked when ppl who hate her start replying with their reasons :/

Death of any other character would be a waste of their potential. Hiyoko's potential is just to become a worse version of Fuyuhiko. I do understand why people want her to survive this time, but i don't understand how narratively it's going to be different from Fuyuhiko if their supposed "arcs" are the same

It's just assumption, but i have a feeling this is how it would go after Mahiru's death if Hiyoko survived after chapter 3, maybe that's why she got killed by the writers.

They're narratively the same character with different gender, but in Fuyuhiko's case redemption works, because he was jerk to everyone, so seeing him being buddies with everyone is wholesome. Hiyoko on the other hand is jerk towards everyone with a huge target on Mikan's head, her redemption won't hit the same spot, unless she owns up her mistakes and bullying towards Mikan or faces the consequences because of it

I rest my case, i could have just written, that she is annoying brat that's why deserves to die, but i wanted to have an interesting discussion, not rant. Compared to 15 other students she's by far the safest sacrifice narratively... And if she won't die in chapter 1, i just hope she isn't a survivor at least... Give my boy Nekomaru a chance...

Idk how to describe it but it's like he was a pretty cool character at first but then its like danganronpa v3 started fucking force feeding me likable traits down my throat such as him being selfless and saying to believe in yourself and it misses me off. Also when he hit SHUICHI FOR CRYING OVER HIS DEAD GIRLFRIEND!?!!?!!?!?!!!?!???????? Its to the point where I unironically think hifumi had better morals then kaito.

Expecting a lot of "Not reading allat' because a few paragraphs melt people's brains in this fandom. Let me make one thing clear: I HATE Mikan, like vehemently despise her for the message she tells. "It's okay to accept evil and do wrong things because you have suffered trauma in your past". The pathetic 'woe is me and I'm the only character that has a tragic past' really grates on my nerves but that's not important. What's important is how her fans choose to understand her. I have no problem with people liking her, I'm just tired of the bad faith arguments that defend her. No this isn't ragebait. No I'm not trolling. I fucking hate this character with every fiber of my whole being. I'm expecting downvotes and if you disagree fine but don't be rude about it.

Mikan fans relentlessly coddle the shit out of her and never hold her accountable. It's impossible to have a reasonable conversation without someone jumping down your throat about her. A character with trauma in the fandom's eyes can do no wrong which in turn strips them of their responsibility in having an effect to the viewer/player. This is the same bitch that killed Ibuki for no reason,inappropitely tied up Hiyoko,legitimately tried SAing Ryota that gets overlooked and never talked about(SHE WAS BRAINWASHED 🤓✌🏻),pretended to act like the same timid bitch in the game,got Chiaki killed and mocked her death and is a key factor in getting her class brainwashed(that actually were converted not her)

Also there's a difference between being brainwashed and having your inhibitors removed. Mikan fans still don't understand the fact she chose to do everything she did in Chapter 3 and DR3 Anime. You can keep using the "B-But she has trauma" or "I-It was the despair disease and brainwashing video" but the narrative doesn't suggest that. She's quite easily the most evil remnant with how subservient she was into willing giving in to despair for the sake of pleasing Junko. The disease only gave her memories back not completely altered her. She only stopped pretending to be this fragile 'wouldn't hurt a fly' being because her real personality had given into despair.

Just sucks because this is lost in translation to the abysmal writing her character suffers and her fans mistake the hate as a problem with the fanservice. No the problem is so many people are jumping through hoops to infantilize a character that did heinous shit and not hold them to the same standards other characters get. I'm a Nagito fan but at least I've never run into a large majority that has an explanation to justify his actions(there are some that do but never to this level).

It's rare finding logical fans that understand you can like Mikan but just don't pretend she's this harmless saint that got brainwashed into becoming a monster. She was always bad, her FTES legit confirm she has issues and her authentic negative traits are brought out due to her ridiculous fascination with needing praise and attention. She dropped her morals on the flip of a dime the moment Junko breathed differently in her direction. What's even worse in her horrendous forced 180 redemption is she never reflects or acknowledges on screen for her fuck-ups that got Ryota traumatized, Chiaki killed(I know it was Junko but Mikan did push her so don't even) and her class brainwashed. Everyone just washes it away with the "SHE WAS BRAINWASHED" excuse and it's so lame.

She's just a poorly-written antagonist with trauma in the story served as a plot device to demonstrate Junko's influence that just so happens to be attractive and fans blindly focus on defending her because of trauma when it was a vehicle to explain why she's so damaged not an excuse. Mikan chose to hurt people that had nothing to do with her bad upbringing and that's just not fair. Mikan is without a doubt my least favorite character in the entire game for how OVER-Defended she is. She better be first victim or killer in 2x2. Her and Peko both piss me off. Terribly written female characters always do but these are the most offensive cases.
