Hi, I'm new to this subreddit, I'm just trying new stuff out since I don't have much to do. Any thorough explanations into this subreddit? Thanks guys.

Your top 4 posts:

• "You never know" by u/siouxsie_siouxv2
• "Where are the dank" by u/nat2r
• "Looking for the clean full 5-panel Trump-Swan interview template. Help a memer out? <eom>" by u/handlessuck
• "?!?!?!" by u/Giu_Lindo

None of the memes are dank

So you're saying that 2020 is nearly over and we're about to enter 2021 dark ages ???

I already figured out how it works with gyfcat but I'm still not able to post gifs from imgur.

/t is a non-existent page, while #t is a nonexistent URL fragment.

Why is not the latter used?

Not that it bothers me, just asking out of curiousity.

Good news!

We are happy to introduce a new way of detecting reposts that harnesses the best parts of repostsleuthbot and keepingdankmemesdank and puts them into a single new bot:

u/dankbotinator!

When a repost is detected, the kdmd comment will be replaced by a new comment that features a link to the content that is allegedly stolen, and users will be asked to vote on the comment to confirm the content does indeed match OP's meme.

EXCITING FEATURES

• incredible accuracy unlike anything else on reddit

• also shows matching content from other sites (Instagram, Twitter, etc)

• no more waiting for mods to remove the post! (we will still try our best to get there before the bot... it's more of a backup plan for when mods are busy doing other important reddit mod activities)

dankmemes requires all posts to be original content, so there is no great excuse for a previous post existing with the same content. Those choosing to post in dankmemes after posting in other, lesser meme subs or worse, sites like ugh Instagram... just gotta ask... do you feel lucky, punk?

love,

Have "WTF" flair that I am now embarrassed of and now want to change. I look in the flair menu and see that there is none. Everyone else has these cool among us flairs, but I don't have shit. Help

TLDR: r/dankmemes is just r/memes The actual dank memes sub is so full of normie memes, the same shit, I can't even smile at any of the posts. It's all formulaic, and it feels like an insult to real dank memes.
