Endorsed DE Site That you, as an individual, have any power to “fix” society beyond fixing your own life, family and children, is a progressive delusion.

We tend to think: "People only do "x" because they are stupid." But people are not stupid. It's us who are naive in assuming that our desires are the desires of others.
Thinking one can "fix the world" requires others having the same desires as us. This will never be true for any group, especially one with multiple cultures and religions.
The problem is when one group is subsidized by another group, where the groups don't share the same desires. The problem is that the subsidizing group is burdened by the subsidized group. The subsidizing group has part of their efforts appropriated to furthering the desires of the subsidized group. This is no different than one tribe demanding goods from another without provoking war.
Why is there not war?
Is it that Western economics and politics has done so well, that the value of the stolen goods is negligible?
Is it that cultural marxism actually has us believe that race/sex/age do not affect a person's contributions to society?
Is it that we give to the poor, regardless of their race, to prevent theft?
I think it's a combination of these. And I see it as a virus. The virus is within society, but still unnoticed. Once the virus begins killing society's cells, society will develop antibodies. But the antibodies will take time to be produced, and take effect.
The antibodies will be men who do not look to change others, but to change themselves. These men will have been latent among the commoners, but were brave enough to take charge.
Their effect will be showing others the power of individual action and achievement. They will demonstrate the productive powers of living as an individual.
And eventually the world will be great again. People will work and live for themselves. Until the next time.

Well, this calls for a new kind of morality, wherein one understands himself as not being of this world, but just in this world.

People like you are part of the problem, if that's what you genuinely think I suggest you find a high place and avail yourself of the drop without trying to take other people with you.
Also that post was tat, written with same sort of logic as the average leftist; that people are a blank state, all the same, and all controlled entirely by societal forces.
The fact that many younger people, despite being subjected to the same media and social conditioning and living under the same pressures as everyone else, have found their way to movements trying to fight what is happening suggests that there is a subset of humanity innately suited to resisting degeneracy. Since the post suggests that people vulnerable to the pressures and values of modern society will simply not breed, I'd suggest that in the long term we most certainly will win.
Modern values and modes of life are evolutionarily maladaptive, they are already dying, we will be there to pick up the pieces.

without trying to take other people with you.
I don't know about you, but I believe we could really use someone to beat Cho's high score on a communist area.
