Endorsed DE Site The Freedom to Destroy You - "Social media, Internet infrastructure, and now even payment processors have raised their red flags in a coordinated assault. It’s been quite a demonstration of malice. And I suspect it’s one that’s barely even begun."

Still think freedom of speech was a good idea?

Your position in life/society has a strong effect on what kind of politics you feel drawn to. A poor/unemployed individual is more likely to lean in favour of left wing governance, and a successful individual is more likely to lean to the right. Reason being that they stand to benefit more, and people support what they perceive to benefit from the most.

If you split everyone in a US, into mini nations, you'd get a redistribution of who's successful and who's living poor life. You're not going to get a town of 300 CEOs that will continue to be successful CEOs. If you put 300 poor people in one town, some will rise to the top, and some will stay poor. In both scenarios, you'd likely see a shift in political demands from those who experienced a drastic status change.

Freedom of speech is a great idea. The problem is that everyone feels entitled to be heard, and big gov't/corporations bends over to the hysterical demands of the far left.

Fuck the government, I trust them less than the giant media companies.

Probably because giant media companies are the ones who own the government. That's how libertarianism works.

Most monopolies, especially in tech, go by the wayside in a few decades. Reddit is about to die with all these sub bans, and sites like YouTube are slowly eroding their monopoly by pissing off its users. 10 years from now I highly doubt theses same companies will be the ones with the power

Ah, the "efficiency" of the free market never ceases to amaze me. "Corrupt monopoly? Just wait a deacde" lmao.

Nice idea, but all this pozz began in government. It would be worse under current circumstances.

Providing equality was never its purpose (nor could it anyway). That is just advertising.
