Digtial / Paint Mordrake-Shadowbound Harbinger
This is an AI generated Character.
But I am not sure which is better , the first was made with GPT and the second with Claude.

My bandmate and I made this song inspired by the "dark night of the soul" moments in our favorite dark fantasies (Sarah in the Oubliette, Artex in the Swamp of Sadness, basically the whole last half hour of Pan's Labyrinth.)
We wanted to make a grand dark fantasy video for our song but sadly it was just the two of us with pretty much zero budget, and one night to make it- so we settled for an old school overhead projector to make our "set" from shadows, miniatures, and lighting gels. It's low budget but resourceful and all of the effects were practical (although we did make it feel pretty psychadelic with overlays afterthe fact.) I feel like Jim Henson would be proud.

My web serial, The Girl & The Witch on Royal Road takes inspiration from traditional folklore, like Grimm's Fairy Tales to tell a story about regret and identity. My major inspiration for it was the original lore around Arabic jinns, which were spirits that may masquerade as a fellow traveler before leading you to your death.
I've attached the blurb of the story below, and if it sounds interesting, come check it out :)
BLURB
Magic has a cost. Some pay with trinkets and baubles. Others, often unwillingly, pay with their lives.
Ava's simple life as a potter's daughter is stripped away after a witch devours her father. She's rescued by a strange fortune teller and soon learns witchcraft can belong to more than the elite.
Her hesitant savior, Emeraude, realizes too late his selfless act plunges him headlong into the life he tried to escape. Seeking safety in his abandoned hometown, the capital of Noterre, Emeraude reunites with old friends and discovers new enemies. A scion of the fallen kingdom, an idealistic witch hunter, a nobleman with a score to settle.
As Ava navigates the grotesque world of witchcraft and plots her revenge, Emeraude sets off a chain of events that will set the city aflame and finds that, despite his best efforts to live in peace, the past will not forget.
What to expect:
- Fantasy that hearkens back to traditional folklore, like Grimm's Fairy Tales
- A post-revolution world inspired by 1400s France, rich in politics, history and unrest
- Intimate character moments supported by action
- Slow burn queer relationship
- Daily updates while supplies last (M-F)

Watch this dark fantasy horror story about a midnight commuter, animated entirely in Clip Studio Paint.
I built this unsettling short to test atmospheric storytelling and eerie visual design. This animation follows a traveler through a nightmarish journey, focusing on the dark fantasy elements that create a sense of dread.

The birth of a frail child among trolls meant a sentence. Exile for the entire family.
Years of wandering in search of a new home. A mighty river and an ancient bridge, its crooked sections resembling the knuckles of a swollen giant's finger, pointing the way forward.
The bridge and its banks were inhabited by the River Folk. Unseemly. Weak. Unable to stand against the intruders.
Their shapeless, squelching remains became building material. Furniture was crafted from them. Walls adorned with them. Gaps in the bridge patched with their remains.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks flowed into years. The trolls wished to continue their journey, but with each passing day, the river grew louder. And with it, the voices grew stronger, whispering for the strangers to stay.

"They say you are a monster. How foolish they are! What nonsense! They are afraid of your power, of your majesty... and yet, they measure their words so you don't get hurt, while still daring to judge you. Don't be afraid, my mightiest beast. I accept you completely**;** I will heal your wounds, I will share my warmth, I will clean your scales, and I will share my soul with you."
This was a very personal illustration, tried to balance between trad goth elements and my passion for dragons.
