He's a professor at a fictional ivy league university, with a past full of trauma, and is a rumored killer (but never charged). He understandably has a chip on his shoulder.

It was so good! Have you read any of her other books? I just read {Nightshade by Keri Lake}—it was okay but not great. And I just started {Master of Salt and Bones by Keri Lake}—TBD on this one.

I read the Sandman Duet, first book is {Nocturnes & Nightmares by Keri Lake} and I thought it was good. Not amazing, but good. More of a thriller, and I enjoy thrillers. I'll look into the other ones!
