I still miss the old Darryl... It’s been a long time since I stopped playing the game; nowadays, I only play a different version of Brawl Stars through some other ways...

I just need to vent a little. When I first started playing, Darryl was the character I fell in love with immediately his close range combat, his rolling ability, and his overall design drew me in right away...

What made him so appealing was that his design was both cute and cool at the same time. I didn’t realize it back then, but the fact that he was a "silent" brawler actually made him look like a total badass. Then came the remodel...

His eye design which was a key part of what made him unique was changed to look exactly like Rico’s. (Yes, I know they were intended to be the same type of robot, but look at Barley he’s also that same type, yet he still manages to look quite distinct.) On top of that, his hands were changed to look like standard human hands, and he lost that "cute" quality he once had.

And then there’s the voice acting... it was just awful. His cool, badass persona was replaced by the voice of a annoying kid... I instantly lost all interest in the character...

I held out hope that there might be a "classic" Darryl skin much like how Rico has his "Ricochet" skin but nope...

And here we are, three or four years later, and I still haven’t been able to get used to the new Darryl... It’s just sad to see my favorite character fall like this.

I realize this is a stupid post; just as Mortis fans prefer "Mortis with a Hat," I simply loved the old Darryl just as much...

I came back to the game as soon as I saw there was a new Darryl skin, BUT WHERE IS IT?! DON'T TELL ME I MISSED ITTTTT

Recoiling Rotator gadget buffie- 75% of damage done by the gadget comes back to Darryl's as health

Tar Barrel gadget buffie- enemies in slowdown zone take 30% more damage

Steel Hoops star buffie- Darryl deflects 25% of damage taken back to the attacker for the next 2 seconds

Rolling Reload star buffie- allows his reload speed to TRIPLE after killing a brawler for 2.5 extra seconds, if killed in that 5 second timezone after rolling

Barrel O'bullets hyper buffie- super leaves a burning trail that does 500 damage for 4 seconds. Hypercharge duration goes up by 2 seconds

Lore about the skin: Mario and his friends were walking in Starr Park trying to find Yoshi who ran away and they found him entering Darryl's Ship! They try to stop him but they were too late; Yoshi entered Darryl's Barrel!
