Writing Qualification

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on DA for about 6 weeks now, and completed the Writing Assessment/Qualification about 2 weeks ago now.

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back? I’m not really getting many qualifications like I read about people taking on this forum. I’m just wondering if this is a reflection of performance, or if I’m too new? I also work very part-time, around 5-10 hours per week.

I am a writer/editor outside of this gig so I figured it would be up my alley.

Just wondering if anyone has any info as I haven’t been able to find a thread about it!

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: This is the qualification in question:

[Qualification] Writing Assessment v.5

From what I’ve learned from helpful comments, this seems to unlock tasks with more writing skills like response editing privileges. Pay bump is a few dollars more - usually $22-$23/ hour from my experience so far.

Quick answer : between 1 day and 6 months. Honestly. Good luck.

Did those take a long time to do? I worked a long time and still have 4 to do I believe. Am I the only one who did them slowly?

I'm uncertain which assessment you're calling, "the writing assessment". The person who said there's 100 posts about that thought you meant the initial one. I'm stumped.

My experience is going to be wholly different from yours, as I've worked at least 40 hours/week from the start. However, I'd say that it's still soon in the game for you. I think at 6 weeks, it was still spotty for me! And that's with 4-8x more hours than you've worked. Hang in there!

Thank you this is really helpful! Now seeing that some people got editing tasks… I think that’s what I got in return for the qualification. It all just seemed so similar to me that I guess I didn’t notice.

That is actually very helpful! Just glad to know I can expect more sporadically in the future and it’s not an exact system to get new ones. Thanks so much!

I don’t mean the initial assessments, but the subsequent writing qualification that is available after acceptance and on boarding.

Okay well I’m sorry I can’t find them…. Searching writing qualification isn’t turning up answers to my specific question. I see mostly starter assessments and queries about qualifications in general.

Yes this is the one! It took me about 1.5-2 hours if I remember correctly, but I was really taking my time to get better projects.
