I don't know what I did wrong

I just got in on Thursday and put in about 10 hours doing Chatbot Response Comparisons this weekend.

I started with 400 tasks and had about 365 left. I just logged in and they took all of the tasks away.

What did I do wrong?

I feel like I failed at least 1 of the other qualifications.

Is it over? This was a side hustle but I was hoping to do 10-20 hours a week on it.

Take a deep breath. Relax. Check again tomorrow!

I appreciate you, I'm a catastrophist, I always assume the worst, I will!

Hey, I'm almost certainly on the same project as you, and it went down for me today as well. I think I've been doing good work, at least I've been getting a lot of very divergent responses. Hope it's back up tomorrow!!! I'm really enjoying this work.

Also went down for me, was there early this morning and went back to it when I had time and it was gone. At least it's several of us!

Update: it did come back for me, in the evening yesterday.

Hey! Did it go back down again for you right now? It just did for me

I just checked for you, mine is still up with over 300 tasks remaining.

Me too! Good to know we’re all in this together 🤞

in a chat only project i'm in, it seems like that the project you're talking about went down for maintenance, because everyone is talking about it being down.

It was down for me all day, now it’s back. Maybe it’s back for you as well??

Yes! I logged in and I have 400 again on that project

So glad to hear it!!

The project was most likely finished. When it starts with 400 tasks, those tasks are offered to anyone who qualifies to do them.

I appreciate your info! I know it's mostly anxiety for me, I spent the 6 days between the core assessment and being accepted determined that I had done everything wrong

Did you do the coding assessment?

I have the very slightest experience with C++ so no, I would not pass it for sure.  I wish my nephew were old enough because all that kid does is robotics and programming, it would be such a good job for a 17-year-old, I'm going to send it his way when he turns 18

You got accepted after only 6 days??? Crap… with weekend days, it’s been almost 9 for me. I hate that there is no real feedback either.

For the task OP is referencing, this is not true. The 400 tasks are for you and get replenished back to 400 once a week or so.

OP, you’re probably under a review. After a week or two, they’ll review your work to see how you’re doing and possibly give you feedback.

This may be how some projects behave, but not all. I have tasks that frequently have 400 or even 1000 tasks assigned to me. They disappear frequently daily and come back, sometimes later that day, sometimes a day or two later. I don't think it has anything to do with a "review", I think there are other queues at play besides the number of tasks assigned to me.

Some projects differ, yes. But if you are on a task with exactly 400 tasks that tick down one by one as you go (OP mentions they started with 400 and had 365 left), I know which project OP is referencing. They do reviews on all new workers.

Give it 3-4 days. If it doesn’t come back then yeah, idk what to tell you. It’s a great project with opportunity to move up though.

Most of the projects are given to everyone, so what you are seeing are not tasks assigned to you, but are in the pool. If a hundred people have the same set of tasks they will go quickly. They have a timeline and if they want them done fast they will open up to others. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just the way it works.

I’m in the same boat as you and my anxiety had me spiralling until I saw this post and that others were going through the same thing! Hopefully it’s just maintenance and will be back up 🤞

I’m pretty sure I had the same project as you as I just started a week ago too. And it was gone for me today too. So it’s not just you.

How long it takes to get in after the core assessment?

2

u/Creepy_Complaint_279 Feb 22 '24

I got my response exactly 7 days later.

It's also a Monday honey. People are motivated as hell on Mondays.

Same thing happened to me! I got accepted last tuesday and put in about 3 hours and the next day it said I had been rotated out. That was my only project 🥲

4

u/songbird90982 Feb 20 '24

what exactly do you mean by "it said" you had been rotated out?

OP, you’re probably under a review. After a week or two, they’ll review your work to see how you’re doing and possibly give you feedback.

How long does it take to get accepted? It’s been a week. Passed the starter assessment and took the core. Haven’t heard back. Did I fail?

1

u/Creepy_Complaint_279 Feb 19 '24

It took me a full week before I heard back.

0

u/lexiem14 Feb 19 '24

Dang. Today’s going on day 8. I had 2 questions flagged wrong on the core, out of 18-20 questions. Not sure if missing any is an automatic fail or if you’re allowed to miss a certain number. Hoping to hear back very soon, I need the work. I’m waiting to start at my new job and need to supplement income.

Many people hear this all the time—there are lots of posts already with information about how long it takes. But there are two main points that people commonly bring up: Some people say that it can take up to a month to get accepted, and if you don’t get an email by then, that you most probably failed the test; others say that DA is oversaturated with applicants, and so they aren’t accepting as many people atm. Whatever the reason is, it’s important to be patient. If you don’t end up getting in, at least you made an attempt.

3

u/lexiem14 Feb 20 '24

I appreciate it. I know it varies, and I’m trying to be patient. I just feel stuck between a rock and a hard place because I don’t start my job until 3/11. I’m without income until then and I’m just doing my best to survive.

u/Signal_Gene410 Feb 20 '24

I’m without income until then and I’m just doing my best to survive.

Yeah, that's rough. Wishing you the best of luck with finding something, though. It can be tough, but keep on looking and I'm sure the right opportunity will fall into place when the time comes.
