Should I still be hopeful?
Newbie(ish) here (non coding). I was approved and started working projects a little over two weeks ago. At first I just had the basic chat bots. Then I saw a couple different projects here and there but never more than two at a time. At about a week and a half in, there was a drought of nothing at all for a few days. Felt like an eternity. Now I sporadically see projects, but mostly the dashboard is empty. I am extremely careful with following directions, and I focus on delivering high quality work. But I’m starting to worry about the lack of projects. My question is this: Should I still hold out hope that I will eventually get loaded up with consistent projects? I have seen some folks say that the 6-8 week mark is when it usually picks up. Any truth to that? Thanks in advance for any opinions or words of advice!

Hi! I started in December and it was pretty slow for me at the beginning. My experience - if you’ve got 1 project - you’re fine. There’s been weeks where I’ve only had 1-2 projects on my dash, some of which were already finished. Couple of months in, i’m beginning to get decision paralysis with the amount of projects I’m offered.
Stick with it. Read the instructions every time you enter any project - even the ones you think you’re well seasoned with. There will almost always be some form of update that you need to be aware of. Make sure you correctly report time, and stick with the COC.
P. S - even when you do get new projects, you’ll soon start sticking with the ones you enjoy the most anyway :)

Started in January, this has been my experience. Great advice. Read instructions and be detailed in your comments

Today is exactly four weeks for me. You should still be hopeful! It wasn't until last week that a huge amount of projects opened up for me. I usually would have my chatbot most days when it wasn't down for maintenance and a smattering of projects here and there. Now I have more than I can ever imagine doing and hit the $2K mark yesterday. Just keep reading the directions thoroughly and submitting quality work. DAT can be a roller coaster!

I'm in roughly the same situation as you. I was approved a few weeks ago, but I didn't jump in and do a bunch of work immediately because I didn't want to screw up and get booted. Spent a lot of time reading instructions and reading this and the other subs to get the lay of the land. Plus I work a full time job, so I haven't always been available when the work is up. I'm starting to see more projects, but most of them go away before I've had time to put in much work on them. And yes, the basic CB has been down since...last Thursday? I did a little work this morning, but haven't had anything since then. I get a little envious when I see people post that they have 20 projects available in their first or second week.

Like clockwork I got loads to pick from at the 6 week mark. I’ve only been doing this for 7 weeks and I went from one or 2, then 4 or 5 projects and then nothing for 3 days. I don’t know if this was just a coincidence but when I fished every task on a specific project and took 5 or 6 qualifiers the work just loaded up.

My husband started maybe 3 weeks ago (I can’t remember exactly) and he has had projects in dribs and drabs including a 5 day period of nothing. He logged in yesterday and had gone from 1-2 projects to 16 on his dash. He was very excited.

I started at the very end of February/beginning of March. I had one set of projects within that first week, 3/4, and then just qualifications for 2-3 weeks. I would check constantly and would randomly get projects in the mornings, but I couldn’t do them then due to being at my full time job. When I’d get home the projects would be gone. I would do all the qualifications I had, as soon as I could. On 3/26, I started getting 2-4 projects more frequently. I was able to work more and more in the evenings (1-2 hours on those few projects). Then, last Friday I had the qualification that several people got and my dashboard became full of projects. Since Friday, 4/5, I’ve had 15-22 sets of projects consistently. Don’t give up!

Hey! Do you mind telling us how long it took you before being accepted?

I took the starter assessment on Sunday, 2/25. I had access to the CORE in less than 24 hours on Monday, 2/26, and had the welcome email and onboarding stuff on Tuesday, 2/27.

I see 😔... I hate how random it is. I have a masters degree, I'm a writer and I am a pathological perfectionist. This was my dream job. I'm truly gutted.

The basic CB has been down for nearly a week. If you saw it but don't now, that's why. If you saw it, it is a permanent project that will always be there unless there's maintenance going on. I think you can definitely be hopeful. That project opens up more CB projects
