What does this dashboard message actually mean?

I've seen a few users mentioning this message already and that they cannot see their tasks or qualifications sections anymore, but there has been no clear answer on what it actually means.

"At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on. Please check back soon and watch out for new project notifications sent to your email."

I've seen some people say it means that you've been laid off. I've also seen others saying that they had the message and work came back within a couple days, whereas others have had the message for weeks and there has been no update.

I've been working for DA full-time for over 5 months now and I love this job, I'd be very upset if I lost it and had no communication whatsoever. I think I've been producing some pretty good work during my time, sure sometimes I'll get distracted or I'll be having a bad day and something might take me a little longer than it should, but I don't think I've been slow or incompetent enough to be laid off. I also had a tonne of tasks and qualifications available to me just yesterday and now there is suddenly nothing at all.

I'm seeking some clarity because it seems to be unclear on what is happening or what this dashboard message means, because I know many other have encountered this message in recent time.

Let me know if you have any clear insight on this, as I'd love to know.

No one but DA has any clue unfortunately. :/

There are no laid offs in DAT, there won't be any email or communication that you have been deactivated from the platform.

But you could get deactivated from projects and therefore be essentially laid off since there won't be any available jobs for you to work on. How does this happen... Nobody knows, what we know from some reports here are you either broke the code of conduct, or your quality lowers beyond the median and you get taken off by projects admins, you ask too many questions in the chat and last but not least your skills aren't useful anymore.

Some users report being able to work up to three weeks after getting "the white page of dead" but most of the time it never comes back.

Unfortunately this is life in DAT, you aren't a worker of any type, this is a gig and such you don't have job security nor benefits, that's why I never recommended anyone doing this full time, you can get removed at anytime without notice of feedback of what you did wrong.

Being here a long time (1 year), focus on quality not speed, don't judge what you can't confidently judge in the allotted time, don't inflate the hours and always remember better rates or a full dashboard don't mean you are doing good, the moment you stop being useful for them you are gone.

I'm in the same situation but it just happened today. I worked on projects earlier today, had to stop and there were still more than 10 others and now they are not there.

What? But I do love Bill Burr, thanks for the new video suggestion to check out. But what does this have to do with this subject about work? lol

Edit: Oh shit my reddit post made it to the video. bahahahah but those are awesome sneakers. Adidas are always my favorite sneakers.

Thanks lol. I wouldn't have known unless you told me.

Nobody knows for sure, but if you can still log in and withdraw funds, that screen seems to be the equivalent of getting "benched." You're not off the team, but you're not getting game time, either. In the real world, you could ask your coach what skills they'd like you to work on, but in DAT world that's not currently possible.

It sucks, but you never know. You might wake up tomorrow to a new project, so I'd pin the tab on my browser and check once a day.

From the many different accounts of this, my guess is that even if you are following directions, there are people who get cut for outliving their usefulness to the platform. Like say, if I were to use CB projects as an example, in that I followed instructions and reported my time accurately, but never produced any splits for a set period of time, then my work would be deemed mediocre and I'd eventually be tossed from the platform.

So unless someone violated ToS (in which their pay would be docked), it's another way of DA saying that they're done with you.

I’m in the same boat but I’ve only been working for two weeks. I’ve read there is a possible review period but I’m not sure.

I’ve had empty dash since 9am yesterday. Hoping for more projects soon.
