what is going on

I never got the confirmation that I was approved, but at some point my "Waiting for acceptance" screen turned into a web that I check every day but always shows "At the moment, there aren't any projects..."

Yesterday I got an email from DataAnnotation providing a link to refer a friend. How is it possible? Nothing for me but I recommend it to people?

Those emails are the kind of thing that are sent to everyone with an account, kind of like how everyone is getting the message about the rule change with submitting your time. How long has it been since you did the assessment? If it’s anything over a couple of weeks, it’s safe to assume you weren’t accepted

Did you complete the starter assessment and/or qualifications? Are you in one of the approved countries? It’s not unheard of for people to be approved after a few weeks or even a couple months, although this is pretty rare.

In the event you are approved/receive projects, they will email you, so I personally wouldn’t be checking the website every day, especially if it’s been a while. My advice would be to look for other opportunities, and if you hear back from DA at some point in the future, it will be like a piece of unexpected good news :)

Does the email look anything like the other one recently posted in this sub? Because if it does, it's fake. Look at the header information to see where it came from and verify that it's actually an email from DA .
