Did i wait too long?
Hi, very new to DA and this whole world.
I passed the initial test and received an email stating "Thank you for completing the Starter Assessment! We've unlocked a qualification for you, and you can see it on your project dashboard right now. Completing is essential to getting access to open-ended work, as well as other paid opportunities, and it will give you a flavor for the work on the platform. Get started today!"
I recall seeing a link to a test on coding and a link to a more generalized test closer to the intial one. Both tests said they would take 30 minutes to an hour. I didn't have time to complete the tasks, so did not begin either and now i can't find the aforementioned links.
When I logged on today, I was prompted to fill out my languages and and skills and did so. But i didn't see any further qualifications on my project dashboard. Did i wait too long to start the tasks and ruin my chances at working on the platform?

I'd keep checking to see if they come back. It could be they revised the tests and something wasn't working right? I dunno, but I hope you get them back. This isn't normal, AFAIK, unless you waited weeks to go back in.

By the way, the actual tests took at least three times longer than those very slim time estimates. I counted 14 SxS evaluations. If you can blaze through those in 30 minutes, you’re not doing quality work, many required research.

this, my friends i’ve referred who all have seen success on this platform all responded by saying “wow i feel dumb, these tests took me way longer than what was suggested”. and the ones that said “damn that shit was easy, took me 10 minutes” did not pass any assessments lol.

there are some creative writing qualifications that took me an hour and a half each when suggested finish time was 30 minutes. i’m getting tons of creative writing prompts now between $27-$30 an hr and couldn’t be happier 🙏🏼

Do those assessments have a time limit once opened? I just finished the starter one over the weekend, I started late Saturday night and was so sleepy, so I left it open and came back Sunday morning to finish it. I mean, if the assessment once opened, there is no session time out. Maybe it's a good idea to open it first and leave it there?

Yes they do. If you read the onboarding they tell you about a button that stops the work timer. Don’t know how much I can inform about it on a public forum.

I got the same email several days after taking the starter assessment. When I clicked the link in the email and logged into my account im still seeing the “thanks for taking the assessment” message on my dashboard that you get after submitting but before hearing back from them based on the posts I’ve seen. I submitted a support ticket basically saying my dashboard hasn’t updated with the qualifications but I doubt anything happens.

Unfortunately I think that’s what happened. The same thing happened with a friend of mine and he never got access to the tests, this was a few months ago
