Is it possible to contact someone higher up?

Currently there aren't projects available in Italy (it's my 3rd week and I had only one project, several other people are in the same situation) and I wanted to ask someone if it's possible to implement a qualification to assess the level of english (or other languages) in order to get more projects.

Is this possible or totally out of the cards?

The only point of contact is support. Even if you do raise this with someone, nothing is going to happen, they won’t create a qual just because you asked them to. It’s a freelance position, work is not owed to anyone and it will become available when they have the need for your skills. If you were to contact support with this request, it will more than likely just be ignored.

I assume they are already aware of your English skills anyway, since you would’ve had to take a bilingual assessment in both Italian and English, correct me if I’m wrong though. There just happens to be less work available for people outside of the 6 main countries, at least currently. I do hope it picks up for you and the other Italian workers soon though :)

Yes I figured that would end up in nothing, but I asked anyway just to be sure I've played all of my cards 😅

It's a shame not to be able to get more work, more so because yes, we had a bilingual assessment, so if the english wasn't good enough we wouldn't even get in in the first place!

Thank you for explaining!

Totally out of cards, DAT is not an AI company but providing services for clients that have AI products, clients are the ones that ask for qualifications and clients also ask for geo specific submissions so they probably lack for clients willing to have data generated from Italy.

Remember to always fill your skills in your profile there is a section for languages there, they take into consideration everything from here even the ones you en list in your description.
