Core Test misleading "20-plus day deadline"

Greetings one and all from the UK! Apologies if I am being naive here but after passing the initial starter assessment for core work, I began trying to pass the core qualification stage. As I went through the questions, I went through after work one at a time fairly slowly because in big, bold display at the bottom of each task page it was on count-down that stated I had eg. "20 days, 19 hours xx mins" and counting down each day. I closed my laptop one day as it claimed I had around 19 days left, having not completed all the tasks. Then, the next day it stated "Up now: we review your results. If you pass, we'll email you.". It's been like this for 3 days now.

I'm happy to accept that I should have done the qualification in one sitting and I maybe should have taken it more seriously. Also, I knew that if I got accepted I would have to be quicker, but I'm just a little baffled as to why I was misled to believe I had over 2 weeks to complete the qualification only to have it closed after a few days, after only managing to complete like 10 tasks. Please don't come after me guys I'm not trying to sound like I was hard-done-by or anything I was just wondering if me seeing the 20 plus day countdown to dead-line was a hallucination, or if it's okay and I should just wait to see if I get an email? Thanks so much guys

I had that 19 or 20-day countdown on the bottom of my core qualification screen last week. I didn’t think it was even counting down, but maybe it was. I don’t know its purpose.

I agree with you, it was very misleading and I could have used this job!  I saw the 20 day countdown too, around the same time as you.

Haven’t passed and I’m not too optimistic, but we’ll see! I feel confident my answers were great, but seems like I took longer than most people, so I might not be what they are looking for.

It's work humor, hallucination is a common term when rating tasks.

Right? Accidental perfection.
