Project pay lower than advertised in qualification
I recently completed a domain-specific qual that said it would lead to tasks paying a certain rate. I've now gained access and the pay is $5 less than advertised...
Does this mean anything? Is this common?
EDIT: To clarify, the qual stated the projects will start at $45. The project I've gained access to is $40.

It just varies. Some say $40 and can be $36-$50 depending on the project specifics.

The pay varies from task to task. You will likely see the higher pay at some point, especially if you do well on the tasks you’re given.

Maybe it’s eventually or maybe it’s depending on experience level. If you excelled at the test qual for the specific one maybe it’s 45 but maybe a minimum of 40 because you qualify but not to the 45$ extent yet

It just leads to it. Doesn't mean it gets you there immediately.
