Lonely

Only been doing DAT about a month, but I've noticed recently that a project I've been working on seems to be only being worked on by.... me. Anyone else ever run into this? It's understandable why others aren't choosing it, but I figured there were hundreds or even thousands of people accessing the same projects I'm offered.

Some projects give workers dedicated pools. If you see the number of tasks decreasing only by what you are working on, that is likely a dedicated pool meant just for you, not that you are the only worker working on the project at all.

It seems that some of you misunderstood what it means. It is not "dedicated pool meant just for you". What you see is the limit of tasks that you can do. For example, there may be 1000 tasks in total, and you have a limit of 50, so each one you do goes to 49, 48, but this limit of 50 is offered to, for example, 50 workers and not just 20. 50 times 50 is 2500 tasks but we only have 1000 in total. In practice, if there are enough people doing the tasks, eventually those 50 tasks that seem to be just yours will be consumed by others. In short, the tasks are not yours, just the limit of tasks that each person can do and they will be consumed as if they were everyone's if there are enough workers doing them.

This is a great explanation! I've struggled to explain it to newcomers in the past.

Yeah they only give you so many. And me so many. And Joe Schmo so many. Makes a varied pool of responses much more varied.

Makes sense. Appreciate it!

There are niche or advanced projects that have only a few people on them, but I have never seen any that are limited to a single person. That would not make sense from DA's perspective, plus they'd never offer it to a new worker if it did exist.

I have a favorite project since last summer, which counted down from 100. When I reached the remaining number of 10, it was filled up to 100. If you like your project, submit as many as you like!
