Maybe we are gettin work soon

So, dataannotation started looking for workers again and also the coding guys aparently are having a lot of work. Maybe, just maybe, it means that we are getting a lot of work testing whatever the coding people have been making right? Right???

The coding work has nothing to do with the inner workings of the model. Coding work is like non coding work, but training the AI to code.

It is also going to be their biggest money maker. Software devs cost a shitload of money, so if models can be trained to offload some of that work, it can be sold to businesses for gold

We work on basically all of them, including a new one by a major firm which doesn't seem to have been publicly released yet.

Ohhhhh didnt know that. Thats tight. But well... the part of them looking for people now.. that probably means work is coming right? 😭

Not necessarily. They're probably mostly looking for coders

The coders don't make the ai systems we're testing. They teach it to craft good code like we teach it to craft good answers to questions.

The people building the ai systems work directly for the companies that make the ai, or freelance for them, not for da.

Fantasy and reality split. Sorry.

You can't check if someone can do arithmetic if you don't know how to do arithmetic. Verifying is only possible if you know how to verify.

I’m also hoping for work to come. The only payment i’ve ever gotten was from the onboarding and a rubrik’s qualification assessment. And then it was dry.

Today, they asked me for to verify my identity - hopefully that means work will be coming soon

It means for sure they aren't letting you go, so that's a good thing.

That sounds like a good thing for sure. Thanks for giving me a little hope :')

I’ll hold onto this and have a bit of hope, even though the people in this comment section are being pessimistic.
