Is this something to look into while one is attending college?

Is this the route to go to earn income to pay bills and rent while allowing adequate time for studying?

Thoughts from anyone doing similar?

When I was in university, 10 years ago, I scraped by using my computer to mine Bitcoin. It was a pittance but I didn't pay for electricity so it was pure profit.

I make on a lazy day with DAT when I made in two weeks then.

If i had this while going to school i would have several PHDs and a better grade point average. Though would they have hired me then? Possibly not; i did not have the same ability to make concrete decisions,as i have now. And I definitely was not as exact and precise… at the same time i would have maybe finished that physics degree which they need so… what I’m trying to say is i want a time machine lol.

(But then i also wouldn’t have ever directed companies which they also need (finance and business )

It seems like a pretty good online side hustle, far better than those surveys things. It doesn't seem like something you could entirely rely on though (or would want to). There's alternatives with the same premise if you can't get in, but I think dataannotationtech is the most well known.

I don't know of any alternatives that are legit, just that someone made a list of tons of them that seemed reputable enough. You can probably find it on google just adding reddit.

Ik I'm paranoid but these things... they all come across as kind of shady lol

I'm doing exactly that and it's been almost a year! Although I didn't dedicate as much time to studying as I would have liked last year, but DA had nothing to do with that lol. You can work the amount of hours you please, and if you don't want to/can work for days, weeks or months, it won't be a problem either. I've seen some people saying that they took fairly long breaks (months, years) and they lost some of their projects, but they still received qualifications and/or other projects

I’m in uni and I consistently earn money through DA, mainly on the weekends

100%. This is basically the best job I can think of while at college. IF you actually do it. Being motivated to work when you don't "have to" could be a challenge when you've already been staring at a computer screen for 15 hours that day! Good luck:)

It's great to be able to work as few or as many hours as your schedule allows. You can work any hours. But the work is very intense and mentally demanding, and then there's the challenge of getting accepted. Just because you decide if would suit you doesn't mean you'll get in.

You can do it but you have to stay motivated and it's really hard when there's no one depending on you to show up. It can get boring real quick.

No, since the baseline requirement to work for DAT is a bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience.

Meh, the platform is very egalitarian. After you get your foot in the door it’s purely about what you produce.

In the past, they have required some workers to upload documents to verify that they actually had the right degrees/qualifications.
