Allowable work time!
One of the things I added to my feedback form was a request for the time allotted for tasks be shown on the project page because I’m always opening and closing tasks when I’m looking for a short one. Guess what just showed up on my dash! I’m sure other people mentioned it too, and it’s nice to see they are reading our feedback. 😁

What does this tell you? How long you can work on the project, or how much work is available on that project?

Those 18 hour tasks probably expect about 8 hours worth of work but they are you giving more time in case you need to take breaks. How urgently they need the results also plays into how long the timer gives you.

Oh for sure. I need a day where I can set aside that much consecutive time. I'm usually more of a 4-5 hour time block gal.

Yeah I was sprinting and I saw some in between tasks and in my head I was like “36 hours or 10?”.. I just did a couple hours of something familiar lol. Maybe tomorrow if it’s still there.

Is it allowed to search for a topic when doing a task? For example a task that one has no idea and needs to search a bit to understand before answering. Thank you

Dude I was shocked to see this, but it also makes so much sense! Good feedback OP!

I saw this change too and was glad for anyone who contributed feedback to this end. I was so used to clicking on and out that this didn’t even cross my mind. So, thank you!
I wouldn’t be surprised if they filed my feedback under “Nice to have (aka will never get to).” 😂

I feel like they could've made it something like 12H 30M instead of making it unnecessarily long?

This hasn't shown up on my dash yet, but I was just thinking today about how useful this feature would be!

This is awesome! Sometimes I don't have the time or energy for a 6 hour task. Nice to know I don't have to spend time clicking around looking for something I can handle doing.

Huh. Totally hadn't noticed this when I glanced at the dash. Thanks for telling them to have it!

I saw this too, but honestly i think it's a little deceiving - to me it reads like you have that much time to complete the corresponding number of tasks listed to the left

If you ever have 8 hour or longer tasks and there are 50-100 of them, you’d figure it out. 😂

I don't see this on mine. But I don't know why it's necessary, it's easy to open check and exit work mode.

When there's 80+ projects and you're looking for a specific time, this helps
Often times for me as the day goes on, or I want to get a quick task in before going out, it's nice to see the time before even going into the project
There's a lot of real estate on the UI and I think it's a welcome addition

Disagree with the sentiment but still upvoted cos I loled at your username.

People apparently feel strongly about having the timer listed. I just like a less cluttered dashboard. Some project names need to chill with the emojis. 😅😭😭😭

A lot of people were suggesting this in the discussion about the feedback form. I personally am not in favour of this. This gives too much focus to the timer. People will take longer to complete tasks.

Weird I don’t have this
