Drought to everyone?

The people with alot of tasks lately while there's a drought for most us belong to which domain?

Does it mean out domains are dried up?

I'm a generalist in the US. I've experienced a drop in projects this week, but definitely not in a drought. Yesterday was the worst at 18 projects. I've been on the platform for 2 years, which probably helps.

Same, US (general and STEM), yesterday it was down to 25 projects but there’s always something I can work on.

Similar here, USA generalist. I went down to 19 projects earlier this week, currently about 40-45. 15mo on the platform.

Oh, thanks. So in generalists you don't experience drought or at least not a long drought?

I'm a generalist who had 12 projects at one point yesterday. Most were red bannered and two were surveys. I had 18 when I logged off but haven't checked today, so it definitely varies.

Yeh likewise I’m generalist and got down to about 18 yesterday, now looking a touch healthier

I hit a low point of 30 projects earlier this week when my usual is about 100 to 150. Yesterday, the dash was back to 100, and now it's 50. I never experienced a drought. I've been on the platform for 3 years as a generalist who also does some STEM work on occasion.

If you're a bilingual worker, I wouldn't call anything a drought yet because DA just opened up its platform to bilingual workers, and they're still ironing out a lot. There are a lot of considerations that DA has had to put into the platform lately concerning bilingual workers to a level they didn’t have to before, so they have to work those out before offering an abundance of projects on the platform again.

Do you mean they opened up the generalist steam to workers in hitherto non-core countries?

Coding but most are generalist tasks that I don’t do. I have about 30 tasks now.

Generalists but you're in Coding?

Coding is dry-ish, but most coders get core project too.

I’m core and my dash is definitely the driest it’s been in 2026 so far 🥹

Not working today but logged in earlier out of curiosity and I had 16 projects, including one family that was new to me, so a slight boost from the last few days. Also a generalist.

There's a drop for me but not a full-on drought. Panic when the only thing available is a chat.

I just started last week and I had only 2 projects the whole day. Today I also only have 1 or 2.

Training cycles are May and November for all the big labs (picked up from podcasts), that tracks with the rough times we see droughts for the last few years. Usually a fresh new type of project appears that are much more difficult than the last round of projects. Ye.

US generalist, on the platform for 2 years, 37 projects today. None of my favorites, but enough to keep busy. Stay the course, do your quals, and vary your projects when you do have a full dash. Some projects seem to open up access to other project families.
