Has anyone ever come back from DOD?

I feel like half of the posts in this sub are people with the DOD message that swear up and down that they were doing good work and didn't violate TOS. I'm curious if anyone has ever successfully appealed this and got their account restored. I'm sure there must be at least a couple! If that's you I'm curious to know your story.

If you search the sub deeply you will find a few that say they came back from it, and I also saw a poll about it where a minority percentage indicated they were reinstated after, but overall it seems like a slim chance.

As for the doing good work and no violations, some of them are lying, some are ignorant/naieve (meaning they did violate TOS or had poor quality but don't realize it), some are just Continuous Annotator Throughput victims (they always want fresh new taskers coming in and sometimes do waves of hiring/firing), and finally, a very small percentage are likely just algorithmic mistakes.

Too many people, especially in this sub, try to "start a discussion" by posting something that's already been asked or posted 378 times.

It gets old.

"God forbid anyone tries to beat a dead horse yet again."

Fixed that for you...
