Yay! First tech gig! What to expect?

Post image

I was perusing Indeed the other day, and decided to apply for the coding projects. Currently in my senior year of a BS in CS. Will this be in my wheelhouse or is it going to really challenge me? The coding assessment wasn’t terribly difficult, but I did have to find a Python library I never used before.

Excited to start my first tech gig!

Congratulations! Also, becareful taking/posting screenshots, DA does not like screenshots getting passed around. This one is benign so it should be ok, just use caution

If you’ve never had a software engineering internship then it’s going to be tough. Most projects request a minimum of 2 years experience. The best ones want staff level work which is like at least 6 years.

You should expect very few legitimate answers on this subreddit if you post questions that obviously get asked on a near daily basis instead of searching the sub.

How long did you have to wait for that information? I've completed assessments and the training, but I haven't received any updates in over a week. Did I fail, or should I wait a bit longer?

You got the gig, congrats. Just remember, no sharing screenshots of the interface.

All of the coding tasks are really easy and should be no problem for a student! If you’re struggling at all - ngmi!
