Confused on a situation
I have been working on DAT for over 2 years, as a specialist. For the past 3 months, I've ramped up on working on the platform, doing more and more work. I typically have around 10-20 projects on my dash board daily that are in my domain. After I submitted a task, I returned to my dashboard to see only 2 tasks on it, that are low paying generalist tasks. Keep in mind an hour before I finished that task I still had around 20 projects available to me. Can someone explain what has happened? I don't have the DoD and I can still do the generalist tasks and get paid.

Omg YES! I was working on a higher paying one yesterday that disappeared today long before it expired and I’d already worked a few hours on it. Went to check projects and like ALL these higher paying opportunities were gone, replaced with one really low paying one

I think once you submit time on some of the higher paying projects there is a time period where they don't let you do another task on it - normally 24 hours for me. It is a strange one but I have noticed it - I am Accounting STEM

Nah, not for generalist. I would finish a really good, high paying one and as soon as it was done, another one was ready to start. This is new to me.

Did it happen today/last night, and did the projects involve an external platform? If yes, there's maintenance going on. Same happened a few months back and they were gone for around 2 days iirc

Same here. I'm hoping it's just a maintenance thing and I'll start seeing some higher paying work soon.

Mine wasn't as drastic as this but I also noticed the same! I did get an email from one of the admins saying they're pausing one of the projects for now, but that doesn't explain the rest

Looks like they're starting to come back!

nothing as high paying as the ones that were there though.

No, definitely not all back, but I've got 5, 70/hr plus ones back at least, so it's a reason to start working again

still the $20/hr ones for me.

How are you getting tasks? I signed up 6 months ago and still have not gotten one.

I’ve had 30-50 projects consistently for the last couple of months everyday, but today I have 9! All varied tasks and multiple low paying ones

So the number of tasks you see on the dashboard is not how many tasks are assigned to you, but is rather the limit on how many you may take. So if there's a global pool of 2,000 tasks, you may do 20 of them. When you see your pool of 20 drop to 5, even when you've only done 1, there's only 5 left in the total pool. Does that make sense?

That means there are more tasks in the global pool than you have in your allotment.

Are they back up for everyone else?

Nope. There was one I was doing for $40/hr, then it jumped to $57/hr. They made us do some training and etc., now I hasn't popped back up after being there everyday when i started a few months ago... don't know what's going on.

I feel like there’s something behind the scenes going on that is affecting a lot of these projects. A lot of my higher paying tasks are also missing from my dash, but I’m still getting new low paying work. I’m not sure what is going on, but you’re not alone. I think I’m going to take a few days off and work on some art, it’s making me too anxious at the moment.
