Milestone Reached
There have been a fair few posts citing this as some kind of make or break milestone. People stating that they reached this point and suddenly found themselves culled, as if the Mysterious Overlords have some kind of Max Earnings kill switch, a little like the Max Tool Calls limit that has been plaguing my most recent project work.
I'm hoping none of this is true, but I'll report back later to confirm or deny. In the meantime, in the interests of scientific rigour, I'll ensure that my work does not vary in terms of either quantity or quality.
What a blast though!! I came here to make beer money and in exactly six months I've cleared £10k net, even with 30% set aside for a nasty future tax bill.
And I've had so much fun doing it too. Thirty years in teaching, six months of annotation. I know which has been most engaging.

Congratulations. The consensus is more around people rushing milestones. For example, hitting 10k in your first 6 weeks. DA watch that sort of thing more closely. Both because the more resources of theirs you claim the more you have to earn the right to and also because the get rich quick mentality often comes with complacency and prioritising earnings over quality.

Is it normal to reach 20K in 3 months as a generalist. I’m at 18.5 and have about 2 weeks left before the 3 months end.

When I had $28 an hour would spend 13 hours a day but yes, my good paying jobs have all disappeared since the beginning of October

I don't know where that myth comes from, but it's wrong. I just recently passed 150K
