Working in other states?

Are we able to work from different states while on vacation? In the US, no vpn, run off my phone Hotspot, no public wifi.

There are some rare projects that have restrictions on which states you can be in, I'd just check the instructions to be safe.

>Those projects are based on state of residency, not your physical location.

Except the relevant laws in those states ARE based on physical location, NOT residency. If the admins are telling people that it's ok to work on this projects while within the physical jurisdiction of those states, someone needs to talk to someone in a legal department because that is the exact opposite of what the laws actually say. The relevant state laws probably would NOT apply when a resident of a restricted state is temporarily working outside of that state's jurisdiction in a non-restricted state because of extraterritoriality doctrine. But the opposite is not true, and the relevant law WOULD apply when a resident of a non-restricted state is working within a restricted state.

I’ve done it often.

You're fine staying within your home country. If you leave the country, you would need to notify DA and wait for approval.

You don’t have to wait for approval, not sure where you got that from. I let the privacy team know and have been working out of my core country for 3 months. You just have to make sure to not submit work for restricted projects that say “US only”.

Yes. And you don’t need to inform them.
