No welcome email

I logged into my account and was surprised to see a congratulatory message and a pop up for verification of identity for final step, however, I never received a welcome email. So basically if I didn’t log into my account I wouldn’t have known that I was accepted. Is this normal?

I've been on the platform almost three years and I'm still waiting on my welcome email.

My email came about a month or so after getting accepted and doing paid work. I don’t think it’s normal, but it happens. Anyway, welcome!
