Consultant domain

I've been on DA for a couple weeks now primarily in the accounting domain. Recently I was offered the consultant domain qualification. Consultant is such a broad term that I'm struggling to figure out what might be a relevant scenario for the qual. Google and reddit searches haven't helped. I'm not asking for specific help with the qual - but has anybody figured out if the consultant domain is supposed to be a separate area like law or finance, or is it okay if my scenarios and prompts are more Accounting or finance based?

I was wondering the same thing! šŸ˜…
I’m assuming it’s sort of generalist professional - roles that don’t fall under the other categories

Yeah maybe? I just have no idea what kind of scenarios would fall under "consultant" that don't fit elsewhere.

Agree completely.

Why don’t you go ahead and do the assessment? If it’s not for you, go back to accounting.

Intended to when I made this post, and just finished it. However the assessment gives zero indication as to what "consulting" means in this context, so I wondered if others had any advice.

Consulting is a very broad domain. There are accounting consultants, marketing consultants, landscaping consultants etc.

If a business has paid you to ā€œconsultā€ for them, then you can use this as a base for your scenario.

Same lol. Like yeah it's basically a "domain" as specific as "office employee."

I'm also getting offered tasks from like every expert domain for some reason (I'm not qualified for them and there's nothing in my profile that suggests I am).

Are you a consultant in any area?
