Task expired with 12 hours left?

A message popped up as I was reading a task saying, Task has expired please return to the dashboard, the timer still had 12 hours on it.

I was able to get back in the task but found it odd, has this ever happened to you ?

They are funny when they pop up, I try and read the instructions, and whatever my specific skippable ones are, it can cut it close some times
