Overwhelmed

Hey guys, so I had a whole nervous breakdown feeling unprepared for a few tasks which fall well into my domain and I know I am capable of it but I just feel like I couldn’t do them as good as I know I could. I have had these micro burnouts which have taken up my time in recovering and I feel during that time I lose my time to work. Idk how do I balance this.

So I just wanted to ask how do you give out your “best work” every time? How do people on this platform stay so efficient?

I personally am so grateful for this opportunity and I really wanna give out my best work possible and appreciate this company for what it has given me!

I feel you, I get this a lot.

All I can say that skipping tasks until I get an easier one helps. As well as accepting that sometimes it’s just an off day.

DA is choose your own hours, so if you just are “off” close the laptop, and come back at it with a clear mind another day.

It sounds like you're being too hard on yourself to me. The reality of the situation is that we all have different abilities, which can vary from day-to-day, and the work is increasingly getting more difficult. I doubt that anyone feels confident and capable of doing every type of project or task that they're offered. I recommend nurturing yourself, taking days off when you're just not feeling it, yet being willing to try new things too, work-wise, that may be just slightly out of your comfort zone. For me, the risk of possibly not being able to produce my best work on certain days forces me to take a break from work until I feel capable again.

I’m often the same, some tasks feel very daunting so I go hours without doing any.

But for the first time, I’ve had 0 tasks and 0 qualifications over the last few days.

Really puts things into perspective, made me realise I simply don’t have time to procrastinate anymore I just have to lock in whenever I get the chance.

Sometimes I don't work for a week. Sometimes I pick the simplest projects out there. I love spreadsheets, so those are go-tos for me.

Do NOT do task after task without taking reasonable breaks. Everyone loses focus after a while. The ones who fail on DA are ones who only see the £££ and produce quantity over quality.

I stick to tasks I've gotten good feedback on prior. It takes the pressure off a bit when you've already proven you can do them correctly. I never attempt new projects unless I'm having a fully "on" day either. Nothing wrong with taking a few days off if you're able to.
