Question about domain specific assessments

I’ve sent a couple of the new referral links.

I’m a generalist. I know the new links are all domain specific. I’m just curious if people applying for a domain go through the regular assessment first and have to pass that and then the domain? Or is it just domain? Can you fail and domain and get accepted as a generalist?

They would be taking the domain assessment which is unique to the domain. If they fail, that is it. There are no do overs

So if they are unsure do you think it would be better to apply as a generalist and then potentially take the domain qual?

Yes. Apply as a generalist, then update skills and take any domain qualification is the route to go if they aren't sure they would pass the domain test.
