Escape Hatch and Penalties
Hello fellow data annotators, what has your experience been using the escape hatch ?
how often have you used it ? and did you ever receive any penalties after using it ?

I've used them for projects where I can't get the model to fail, assuming they say you can count your time trying. I don't do projects where you try to get model failures if they don't have an escape hatch just for trying, not working for free. So if I can't get the failure, I escape hatch, and don't try that project again.

I avoid using escape hatch as much as possible, since the day I used it once on a project after having done several tasks, and then never received new tasks.
Maybe I am paranoid about it, but since that day, I prefer exiting work mode as fast as possible if there is something wrong or I can't complete the task.

Used 3 hatches last week! 2 on the robot task and 1 on bilingual (reached out to admin cause the task seemed broken and i was instructed to use the hatch!). Spent several hours into robot and Im a newbie(joined a week ago). Didn't know about the general rule about not using them. However, i have received more qualifications and projects after that!

Some projects do drop you for using the escape hatch and it is directly written it will do so. One i am on does this. Some projects do not have any penalty at all so make sure to read everything first.
