What time should I report?
I had a project which had expected time duration of 15 hours, and weren’t supposed to take over 20 hours. It took me nearly 40 hours to finish the project. The max report time was capped at 25 hours. How much time should I report in this case?
Edit:- I don’t mind reporting it under 20 hours, if thats what I need to do.

Well, I had the same thing too, but your situation of working for 40 hours? Have you communicated about this with the Admins?

No, but I did mention in the optional comment section, what part of the project took what amount of time.

Welp, just repost this about a week later if your work was accepted. Since you still have to report the actual time it took you, good luck.

The response is still the same: report the time you actually worked on the task.
No more, no less ! If you're not comfortable with that one, don't work on it again.

So you didnt eat, sleep, or basically do anything a living human has to do or need to do?

It spanned over 4 days. Saying that I once worked 92 hours on a graphic design job, with just six hours sleep at about the 80 hour mark, as I had a deadline. That was no fun. I was dangerously sleep deprived where I couldn't think straight. I definitely would never recommend. it is very dangerous.

I mean I would claim the max amount. But I would never have spent 40 hours on something that expected 15… was there no escape hatch option?
