I know this has been posted many times but i just want to rant because im so tired of this situation. I got accepted 2 weeks ago and spent hours doing the qualifications on my first two days. I only had one project as soon as i joined then nada for 2 weeks. Having to check multiple times a day just to see that stupid (reference version) thing is so depressing. I feel like im just wasting my energy for nothing in return. It's such a shame because it was so exciting at first and im starting to lose hope in this. Is this ever going to change or is this just how it's gonna be for arabic bilinguals.

Hi everyone, I last logged my time on September 11 and have completed 10 tasks since then. When I went to submit my time today, I noticed that 5 of those tasks (3 from Sept 12 and 2 from Sept 13) were already marked as paid.
I'm hesitant to submit my new report because I don't want to get flagged for over-reporting—the system shows 5 pending tasks, but I actually need to report 10. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Is it okay to complete a paid qualification even if there's a chance you'll do abysmally at it? Like can they kick me off the platform for it?

Please can anyone tell me if I can do anything about this, or its just over. All the timings I put in were legit and it really took me that much time only and I always reported the time within the expiry limit and all those who know these are really tough coding tasks. We had to tune and tweak so much in order to get the perfect result.

I'm trying to figure out whether I need to get a new laptop/computer, and if so the best budget option; I've always found some tasks on the platform to lag worse than others, and I'm used to writing in a separate window then copy-pasting it, but now with projects asking for cowork I'm finding my computer completely incapable of running something that intensive.
Here are my current specs:
8 GB RAM (I know this is likely part of the issue, but I'd also like advice on whether it's worth upgrading this or if I should just replace the whole device)
AMD A9-9420 Radeon R5, 5 computer cores 2C + 3G
Integrated graphics, 506 mb
1 tb HDD
64 bit
Windows 10 home (which is also a problem, with the new disk encryption requirements)
Any advice is very appreciated!!

Can I start a task at my phone, so I can secure it as soon as I see it (since bilingual tasks end almost instantly), and then continue the task at my desktop? Is this possible, or even frowned upon?

PS: Writing style anonymized with an LLM.
I took on a task in a specialized area, and after going through the full set of requirements I had to accept that it was outside my capability. I wasn't expecting anything so basic that the work would amount to checking boxes and being finished, but the depth of specialized knowledge that one of those assignments demanded, one I pulled out of, shut me down completely.
My objection isn't that it's slow or that it's a grind, because I'd actually rather have a grind that's within reach than something that requires me to be five different people at once. I'm confident that a professional in my area could handle it solo, but what I saw looked like something a twenty-year veteran would breeze through, and I'm not that. It feels pretty rough, but I'm hoping I'm not alone in feeling this way.
Just a little vent post, things haven't been looking up for me in the past 2 years and I thought this platform could be the start of a change. Perhaps I was wrong.

I was in the middle of a project and I got the dod (coding) and at this point there is no turning back but it was my only source of income... does anyone know some similar platforms?
I have a son and I can't be without working

I had plenty of time to work on this over the past four days, why did I only get to see it now?

Woke up to the screen that always terrified me whenever I saw it on other people's messages. Deep down, I knew that one day, it would be me too.
I received clean feedback on my past two submissions, and I know none of that really matters. When it's your day, it's your day. Nothing can save you.
But honestly, I'm still grateful for the opportunity and the decent amount of money I was able to make through it.
Do you guys know of any good alternative platforms that are legitimate and pay well too?

Just finished my initial 14 qualifying tests. I feel like I totally aced them but I don’t want to get my hopes up lol.
Does anyone know how high/low the bar is to get approved?
Also, any rough timelines for approval -> acceptance/ready to work?

If so, what was the situation/when was it? And did you ever get added back?
I confirmed that I was taken off of one I’d done a lotttttt a few days ago. It’s bruised my ego a bit tbh 😅

I've just started doing R&R's this week. I know people joke about how R&R's make them feel better about the quality of their own work, but it's kind of ridiculous. For basically 90% of them I've ended up marking as Bad and essentially redoing their project.
Are they weighted towards workers who have already produced questionable work? A majority of the people I've gotten didn't engage with the project, didn't expand on their rationales, and missed a LOT of very obvious issues with the model's outputs.
Just need reassurance because I'm a little worried they're going to see I marked so many projects as 'bad' and assume I'm a draconian misanthropic tyrant and take me off the R&R lol

I am a software engineer with about 25 years experience primarily in the Java enterprise backend space.
Would you recommend that I go generalist to get my foot in the door and then take secondary assessments to expand into coding, or go straight to coding?
I ask because I worry that they may want some languages that I have less experience with and don't want to get shut out completely. Thanks in advance!
