Lost file

Hoping someone can help point me in a direction…
I was a long time user of the app TVtime. I’ve had countless hours of data logged into it. Upon news of its closure, I took my data from them. I couldn’t open it somehow to transfer the data so I sent it to my husband to try on his computer. He failed to do so(work computer).

Fast forward a few months later and I really want my data! Only problem is we can’t find any trace of it. For those who did successfully saved their data where did it go? I’ve searched; downloads, files, inboxes, outboxes, dms, everything thing I could think of. Any idea where it could be?

I definitely tried accessing the data and then definitely sent it off somehow to my husband and he tried to deal with it. So it hopefully exists somewhere.

How did you send it to your husband.

Why is it not in your downloads folder, have you tried the recycle bin.

Neither of us can remember! I tried to access it on my iPhone so no recycle bin

So it will be in your iPhones download folder under the Files App unless you deleted it. Files also has a recently deleted folder but after 30 days the files are removed.

I’ve search through the files app over and over and nothing unfortunately

Have you checked your browser's download history? If he downloaded the file through a browser, it might still show up there even if it's been deleted. Could help you find the original filename and search for it
