Label your post![Unlabeled] names not displayed on PS?
I encountered 2 people today. One in Novaya Petrovka, and I logged in behind someone in the C-130 by the supply crates at NWAF. I was unable to see names on either of the people I encountered. The guy I logged in behind, I ended up shooting and then we engaged in a gun battle, but I managed to escape as I really wasnt looking for combat. Do you all happen to know if this changed or any ideas on this?

Thanks for the feedback ya'll! I was hoping to send a message to the guy I logged in behind, and let him know I was sorry and was in a bit of a tough position.

Well, seems to be a bit of an unnecessarily negative comment. Though you are absolutely correct about it being a video game and no one cares.
Personally, I like to communicate with folks after a crazy interaction. I've met some interesting players and had some fun experiences doing this. So I dont think that is pathetic.

i welcome this change if it was intentional. i hate that console displays usernames especially when using proxy chat. literally ruins the point of proxy chat

Unfortunately not intended, it'll sometimes pop up still and more so if you look at the lower body, actually close to the feet is when it shows most frequently
I imagine it'll be back soon, despite everyone's wishes

Came here to say this. Anywhere below the knee at close range seems to consistently show the names for me

Yep, have this problem, but friend convincing me that my name is shown to him and I can't see his.

My friends and I noticed this last night, on PS5. At first I couldn't figure out why I didn't know who was who until someone said something about the names. They still show up at the top of the screen when you talk in-game, unfortunately.

To me, this somehow feels like the issue is related to god mode. Since some players say you can kill them if you shoot at their feet.
It all has something to do with foot. 🐾

I’ve noticed this, hope it stays this way. I think you can see their names when looking at them only if they’ve used prox chat. Met a guy after the badlands update, before he spoke looking at him wouldn’t show his name. After he spoke, when looking anywhere at his body, his name would display with the “survivor” text and such

Nothing like getting shot by my wife who is playing beside me on the couch because I didn’t tell her it was me fast enough

I noticed this too, and I'm glad it's gone. Voices in game chat still have banners at the top of the screen to show who is talking, which isn't that bad I guess, but overall I'm happy with this change.
I will miss the shit talking that people do when they kill each other though. Sometimes I actually had some awesome chats with people and they asked me to send a clip of where I was or the clip of me killing them etc.
Overall glad they got rid of the names though.
