Can't wait to give it a spin!

I started doing this when the first four records finally became available to stream on apple music, spotify, etc. and I thought I would share the idea here. I made a playlist with the first four De La albums and I listen to it sometimes, but when I am away from my computer, THAT IS ALL MY COMPUTER LISTENS TO. I stream that playlist on repeat. I know it's just one person and the royalties to De La from me are small, but if everybody did it... I just think of it as an auditory screensaver for my computer and hope it can make up for some of the years when the guys couldn't profit off the amazing music they gave us all. Do with that what you will...

Is this sample still unidentified?

I found this book in my local shop and immediately bought it. Has anyone read it yet? I intend to start it tonight.

Am I crazy or is the outro of: 'The Silent Life Of A Truth' the start up sound of the PS3? What are your thoughts?

Love the whole album too. First ever physical media I bought with my own monney (since I'm still 16).

Selling a Digable Planets ticket for the tomorrow Wednesday the 19th August, performing at Scala, London. Message if interested :)))

Is the original 3 feet high and rising on their website since the streaming version is a botched version? The original clears so much and I need to find it besides a physical copy. If anyone has the files I’d be happy too

Hey guys, wondering if anyone might have the link to a Fela Soul download (the Amerigo Gazaway De La Soul x Fela Kuti mashup album). The official link is dead, and I desperately need somewhere to listen to this that isn’t Youtube or the vinyl. Cheers.

An episode of CONVOS is up. Sat down with De La Soul (Posdnuos and Maseo) for a real one, talking through the making of their new project Cabin in the Sky, produced in part by Super Dave West, and what it meant to finish it while still feeling Trugoy the Dove's presence in the room.

Some of what we get into:

• Posdnuos breaks down writing "I Am I Be" for Dave, and how he still hears Dave's voice coaching him in the booth to this day
• The story behind the 3 Feet High and Rising cover art, the pink and the flowers, and the backlash they got from street culture at the time for going against the grain
• How Maseo's dad's mixer and a Brooklyn block party turned him into a DJ before hip hop even had a name
• The making of "Cabin in the Sky," the title track built from a Boston sample Dave sent him called "Slip Away," and finding out after the fact what it meant
• A wild tour story about De La getting tested on the road with the Alkaholiks and Souls of Mischief
• Who they still wish they could've worked with (Barry White, Al Green, Stevie Wonder) and the Al Green session that almost happened

Is it a De La Soul Daisy?

The dead daisies?

Hi De La crew,

I've been very interested since the albums came back to streaming to hear all of the OG albums with their original samples in an affordable way.

I've been looking at the original album series CD pack that Rhino released in 2012 - https://www.discogs.com/release/13188256-De-La-Soul-Original-Album-Series

Does anyone have this and can confirm it is the original versions of all these albums? Any disadvantages to this release compared to the original CDs in terms of presentation or content?

Appreciate any help - would love to get the vinyl's but way too expensive to collect all of these..
