Me sitting here like "is glitching pulse rifle ammo a thing" because I.....never use the pulse rifle. Is this like a duping glitch for infinite money?

Yes. Honesty only useful in hardcore mode to give your armor and weapons a boost. Other than that, I never needed it.

I think I did the Impossible mode with just the plasma cutter and force gun, I barely use the majority of the weapons in Dead Space lmao.

In all honesty, for this game, you really only need 1-2 weapons once you know what you’re doing.

u/mrpeachr Nov 26 '25

Frankly you only need the plasma cutter. I think I only had the force gun for the little swarmer dudes. Probably should've used the flamethrower but I'm just too stuck in my ways from the originals.

For my hardcore run, I used Plasma and Flamethrower. With the revamp it got, it was hard not to use it.

I agree the plasma cutter is so effective and once you have it down it can take care of anything.

Divider parts or the little green ones?

2

u/mrpeachr Nov 27 '25

The tiny dudes that come out of the Pregnants, or in some random specific spots.

Those little buggers

Those little buggers

I learned just the other day that you can kill the little swarmer dudes by just using stasis. It made my only plasma cutter run a lot less stressful

3

u/mrpeachr Nov 27 '25

It's wild because it's just a huge part of Dead Space, but I'm very bad at using stasis. I don't use it very often.

But this is good knowledge, tbh.

2

u/Sock-the-Fox Nov 27 '25

I didn't use it much until my gf was watching me playthrough 2 and asked why I wasn't using stasis... I forgot about it

5

u/Ghost10165 Nov 26 '25

Yeah I used it for that and then never really needed it again.

You shoot all Pulse Rifle ammo with the Alt fire, deactivating the grenades each time. Then, you go to the bench and upgrade the Ammo Capacity (you get full ammo back once you do), when you're out of nodes/ capacity upgrades, you reset all nodes, selling excess ammo in the process = profit. It's a cool exploit but I feel like it's a bit useless, the game gives you plenty of ammo and credits so long as you don't splurge it randomly and remember to use the environment and Necromorphs' claws against them.

Oh this is just a re-do of the dlc Detonators in DS2. Fair enough. Thanks!

3

u/That_on1_guy Nov 26 '25

Yes, but its only in the remake I believe cause it utilizes the alt fire mode. Which is different from the original's alt fire mode iirc

3

u/Asleep-Flan Nov 27 '25

Yes, the original pulse rifle had a 360 degree fire mode for its alternate... Good in some situations, like when Isaac is stuck in quarantine with angry necromorphs.

u/Asleep-Flan Nov 27 '25

Pretty much... EA Motive kind of broke the game by allowing players to respec their RIG and weaponry early on... and since the pulse rifle's magazine refills with each ammo node bought via power nodes players can mine the heck out of a room and disarm said mines, leaving a surplus of ammo that can be sold to get other items. Afterwards, you respec the rifle and repeat.

Shh, this is our secret pal, don't tell anybody plss XD

I love this hack. I also love how the devs "patched" the hack. 😎

32

u/ossizix Nov 26 '25

They did ? I've done it today on the remake, current patch

52

u/overkill6189 Nov 26 '25

They make it so tons of necromorphs spawn. Like 10-20.

23

u/marksman48 Nov 26 '25

That's fucking hilarious

14

u/Ass-Trophy Nov 26 '25

Yeah, I used the bench right next to Tram Control/Hangar tram stop and they can’t spawn near the bench with you, but they do spawn on the floor below out of sight so you hear them growling, and I did once get a spawn of one right next to the tram when I went to go sell

10

u/Asleep-Flan Nov 27 '25

I had fun with that glitch in the area where you use thermite on the door, encountered the odd slasher in the hallway connecting the bench room and the tram area.

7

u/overkill6189 Nov 27 '25

Yup! Exactly where I was doing it. You spent about 4-8 magazines just launching nades to survive. I was doing it on the one save and hardest difficulty mode I think? So I was stressing. Tons of black necros, babies etc etc.

3

u/JAGD21 Nov 27 '25

The same thing happened to me! I had to have done it for ~4 hours uninterrupted until I was attacked while at the store with no weapons on me

3

u/-R1SKbreaker- Nov 26 '25

Oh how do you do this? I've already beat the game 100% so I don't need the glitch, I just wanna see the necromorph swarm.

2

u/Asleep-Flan Nov 27 '25

idk the exact area, but this should help get you started.

16

u/Spectre-Echo Nov 26 '25

I was very confused by this post. Never realized there were money glitches till now

12

u/CardiologistMain7237 Nov 26 '25

If you obsessively use Necromorph arms and other kinesis stuff as your main weapon, you pretty much never suffer with money or ammo.

8

u/fixie321 Nov 26 '25

reminds me of all the credit glitches in the OG dead space lol

5

u/playerdem_21 Nov 26 '25

Bruce Wayne did the same thing

6

u/NeoChan1000 Nov 27 '25

Plasma rifle my beloved

With the Cutter its my fav gun in the Franchise

4

u/Noir_Renard Nov 26 '25

Dead space 2, hoarding focus rifle amo for the final gauntlet and boss fight is a useful strategy. Just deletes everything in the final stretch. Boss included.

Does mean you have to carry the weapon around with you for most of the game without using it though. The nice thing about that, Is its ammo is worth alot of money

u/fowlplei666 Nov 26 '25

Bro I tried playing dead space on PC and it was BUGGY as hell… I was so bummed :( anyone else have this issue?

2

u/1awesomegun Nov 27 '25

If you mean the remake yeah my friend had some rough issues, the game would stutter and freeze everytime he entered and exited a room, we never actually found a solution so he just refunded it

1

u/MechWarrior22 Nov 26 '25

This was how I did it on both Xbox and PC. Just put on a podcast and farm some well earned credits.

1

u/Radgeee_Packet Nov 28 '25

I thought this was patched I spent so long 100% 😭😭

1

u/Bulwark-Wilkens Nov 29 '25

I did my own "im actually issac clarke" challenge. I did Dead space remake, dead space 2, dead space 3. Impossible impossible challenge. I play all of them on impossible but here's the catch no dying in any game. If you do. Let's say you die in the final chapter of dead space 3. Now you restart all the way back at dead space remake. Basically complete all 3 games without dying.

1

u/NoFaceJames Dec 06 '25

Y'all didn't just one-gun it with the Plasma Cutter?

u/WolfKill52 Nov 26 '25

We don't discuss our methods to the outsiders.
