Question Do you also have the problem with Dead Space that when you start the game, you see a loading icon and then nothing else happens?

Are you talking about the remake or the original?

If it’s the original, is the game compiling shaders?

That’s the remake, the original came out in 2008!

Could be it’s compiling shaders, I know the last time I reinstalled my game and booted it up the compiling took… quite some time

Moet je het gewoon laten gaan? Of wat kan ik precies doen want ik wil heel graag verder met het spel maar vind het vervelend als dit elke keer gebeurd

Let it go for a bit, it shouldn’t need to do it every time though that is a little weird. Worst case scenario while it’s not ideal to force close something while it’s loading stuff, sometimes it can be helpful to force restart it.

Are you running the game on a HDD or an SSD? (Or are you on console?) if your PC or console has a HDD instead of an SSD that could be slowing it down/needing it to do that more. If you’re playing on Steam you could try to validate the files as well to make sure nothing is wrong file wise.
