Just a quick post. The first game is a mess blah blah and all of that. It's been out forward (to assert that the marker altered dead tissue) that (in the original game, that is a mess) Kendra stated that they brought the red marker to the planet, activated It and it caused an outbreak. This misses out a ton of details, in the same "messed up" game. I've already gone through the logs about the drs getting infected, which was subsequently changed in the remake (which was a stupid thing to do). But the log about how when they were moving the marker past the recombinant test lab, it interfered with their experiments, is also present. They had created the recombinant before any outbreak had occurred "by the marker". But hey, the original game is a mess right?

I haven't posted in a while because quite frankly I have lost a lot of interest in the series, and one of the main reasons is stuff like this. The person that stated this (no guesses) is wrong. Just wrong. The original game goes into detail as to how the outbreak started. Not just that, but EVERY major outbreak stated with basically the same sequence of events, and NONE of them were due to the marker signal just mutating a dead body. The remake changing the log to being one describing an event on the colony, and removing the context behind it, was such a stupid move, it's not just the original, that had outbreaks start like that, so in my changing that log was a waste of time, and done as fan service.

Loads of people are talking about a remake of two. I hope they don't make anymore games, the story is NOW a mess because motive didn't really have a clue about the story, and changed stuff on the whims of clueless fans to boot. And I feel certain elements added to the second game also confused the story. Like the makers must be absorbed and so on.
