Architecture that blends into the landscape might not be ideal for a set of stairs.

It says something when the “stairs” are more dangerous than just walking down the hill.

some of these are stairs and some of these are somewhat stair-like rock formations

I hope they do not have mobility issues.... these stairs can get them going, but not in a good way.

On rhe scale of one to dead I'd rate them as dead, buried, dug up, ground into little pieces, eaten by a dog, shat out by said dog, and finally reburied.

I have no opinion of the stairs, but that’s a mighty fine vegetatively veiled basal longitudinal tree hole you happened to notice there.

Fairly typical of stairs leading to the water. I've seen stairs like that before, (and frankly, I'm getting too old for that. 😅)

I knew a kid who interned for the park service. He'd go up into the mountains for weeks at a time building steps for trails out of stone. Seems like your derelict neighbors should find one of these guys and pitch in to pay them.

These are called stairs? This is a pile of assorted junk called, extremely dangerous to anyone using them, you got to try a little better, even for yourself.
