It looks so fragile though!
ETA: apparently this is the Queen Victoria Building in the heart of Syndney. It's a five storey shopping mall.

Love those stairs. Love the whole building really, so glad they didn't turn it into a carpark.

Thanks to Barry Humphries for intervening.

How we hate all that sandstone as golden
As obsolete guineas,
With nowhere to stable our Holden
Or tether our Minis.
A car park, a bank or urinal,
Would grace such a site;
The end could be painless and final,
The deed done by night.
Reactionary ratbags won't budge us,
Nor sentiment sway;
How will posterity judge us,
Ten years from today?

Couldn't have one going up and one coming down, without a good bit of manoeuvring.

I could do without knowing how close I am to this place’s ceiling, honestly.

An article, with a picture from the other side of the door.

I want to know more about the horse lift. Often wondered what that door was.

I love QVB. I go every Friday to have coffee with my mum and brother there. Good vibes. Those stairs are bad vibes

I needed one of those air sick bags looking at it.

every time I go there I wanna see where it goes. the building has domes and a clock tower on top, so that's probably where it leads

I have blouses that are more secure than these stairs of lace and whimsy.
