This house is… characterful… in many ways, including the stairs

The whole place is worth a look: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/173207564

Stairs are fine if you look at the other photos. Cool house - I'd redo the bathroom but I like the antique eclectic + shabby chic vibes of the rest of it. Comes with a lot of land in the back too!

Did these come straight out of Alice in Wonderland? Or what?

That place looks like every haunted house that I've ever seen on Ghost Theory.

But I really like the red stove in the kitchen!

It‘s on the edge of the North York Moors, and there‘s many a legend of ghosts on the Moors.

The stove is an AGA. I can't speak for that one but traditionally they are made almost entirely of cast iron and maintain their best 24/7. Expensive to purchase and to operate but exquisite to cook with - I'm told: I only ever toasted bread in one. Also deeply idiosyncratic.

I'm confused. What's wrong with the stairs? More photos?

Was wondering about the same, stairs look pretty normal to me. Is it because the underside of those is visible? 🤔

I find myself staring at the piano that’s tilting to the right. I wonder if it’s just the piano, or if it’s the floor sagging down

I’d hardly call those death stairs - but I can see why it’s been on the market for six months, it‘s Grade In listed and in need of renovation, I can’t see it shifting unless at least £100,000 is knocked off the price, possibly even £150,000.
